He recently found out that money is the root of all evil and had to fork the cash over to the devil. Satan has been spending it, investing in rock stars ever since.

Sell? as in financial benefit for you? You have it wrong. You have to sell out your soul to God, but for now, you get to keep it.

You were already paid for my friend. You have been bought already. The price has been paid, you just choose to turn your back on the one who did it, or you choose to go with Him. The price that was needed has been paid for us all, you can either run from the one who paid it, or you can go with Him to be happy.
How can you sell what you don't own? Trying to give it to anyone or anything else is stealing from the one who paid for it. Surely the owner will come and claim his property and punish those who tried to steal it from him. You were purchased even from the begining of the world, before you were born.

Because God doesn't buy souls. He only wants your soul if you give it to Him freely. He doesn't bargain like satan. Your soul is meaning less unless you give it freely to Him, which is what He wants.
He loves you, and hopes you choose to be with Him. But humans have free will, and can do as they please. He gave you life, and hopes in return you will give Him your life, your love, your trust.

Because God doesn't require a price for your soul. You give willingly and so does He. You give yourself to Him, and you recieve tenfold.
