Is There A Way To File A Harrassment Report Anonymously?
If you don't know my situation can you go back to my last question. My big problem with this guy is he's mentally unstable and I live at home with family (with three small children), but I go to school so I'm not there all day and I don't want to alarm them. I'm 19 years old by the way. Help please and yes I'm serious.

Plus if I call the police what can I say since it was my friend calling them and I'm the one who gave her his number.

I doubt they would prosecute with an anonymous report , however I would never let your friend use your telephone again ever ! If you can order call blocking , caller ID or get an answering machine. I would insist your friend clear this problem up once and for all or call the police and file a report and tell them what your friend did and if you know who she called tell them that also . Your friend is responsible for this mess and your friend should be the one to settle it or face the consequences . Your children are to be protected and if that means losing a friend then so be it because they brought it on themselves . How she got the phone number doesn't matter unless she was acting on your behalf .

First why is this older guy after you and why your friend called him?

You must do police report, and keep the police informed of every thing he does against you, that way you can ask for a restraining order to prevent him or his family to contact you on any way.

Probably you are afraid to make thing worst by calling the police. But if the guy is mentally unstable as you say, then you got to call the police or to hide with some relatives if you don't want to be another Headline.

No you cannot file any police report without giving your name. You can report a crime this way, but filing a report against someone is totally different. However, the police will not give out your name and you can go down to the police department to do this without your family knowing what you did.

Unfortunately no! Your's sounds like mine here in Texas. They have to nearly kill you first before police will listen. I dated this guy 4 yrs ago & the day he got out of jail, even after I told his family to keep him away, he came to my house. Police were suppose to inform me when he got out. When the police frightened him off, he had the nerve to call & ask me TO COME PICK HIM UP!! He was back in jail in 10days for armed robbery. Thank God Good Luck Dear. Your giving him your tel# doesn't matter. All you have to say is "DON'T CALL ME AGAIN OR I'LL CONSIDER IT AS HARRASMENT" Please do file charges. It shows you are afraid of him & gives you more attention in the police records.

no. you can't. i really dont understand your situation. but, in order to file a report you have to give your info. - if your calling on the welfare of someone else you can call and ask for a "welfare ck" on them anony. hope this helps, i dont really understand your situation. but, go ahead and call your local sheriffs dept or police dept. and ask to spk to an officer, he'll/she'll tell you what you need to do.
