When I speak to cats I meet on the street, I usually call them "kitty" or "tat" (as in Puddy Tat). Once I had this beautiful gray cat staying with me for a while, very distinguished looking, and I called him King Tat. Is it just me, or is this a great name for a cat?

That is a great name for a cat. most Gray cats are very large and love to be well for lack of a better word a King! Great name!

That's an amazing name for a kitty-cat! I love it. Especially for a gray one.

The question is did the cat like it? Did he respond to it? Or did he sit there with his back turned to you refusing to believe this name had anything to do with him.?
The most important thing in naming a cat is to make sure the cat likes it.

I think it's a great name, I wish I had thought of it for one of my cats!
Along the same lines of a name that is a play on words, I had one named Pushycat (and he was), one named Purrvis and one named Mrs.Claws.
