Why do older men seek younger women?

and do younger women find older men attractive. Examplea 50 year old man should have nothing in common with a25 year old women, yet I see it all the time. I prefer women that are my age 50+ than someone that looks like my daughter. Ladies and Gents help me see how this works.

I have read them all and I hardly agree with any of them as a whole. The real reason in most cases, . . . . . because the older women are usually fat and everything hangs and nothing is like it was when they were 20's or so. Men are more into the younger look to make up for what they lost when they were young themselves. Not that men are older and sagging themselves its hard to see it in the mirror and so they seek younger women to look good in public places. Its a sad way to look at life but it is true. How do I know.? Well, . . . . . because I have been there. I know what its all about.
However, . . . .on the flip side, I would prefer an older woman that has taken care of herself and is slim and doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. She is self confident and knows that she can deal with the young ones easily. There are not too many of those out there so the men go for the younger ones to make up for it.

All of these answers are one size fits all, when there are as many reasons, perhaps, as there are intergenerational relationships out there. And many of these answers reflect unkind attitudes about others--and for that reason, say more about the answers rather than the people they unkindly characterize,

I, myself, am an older, childless man. I'm seeking a younger woman for a pragmatic reason, someone who is still of child-bearing age. The reason I am in this boat is I am a shy person, also STDs and not knowing how to cope with that. I'm not seeking an uneven relationship with someone who doesn't want to be with me, and I am lucky that if that's how you would judge me, you're not interested, neither I in you.

This has nothing to do with having something to prove, it's just about seeking a life.

When a man gets older he starts to panic, he wants something or someone to make him feel better - hence the red corvette and the hot 25 year old blonde. Having things in common is irrelevant. He thinks he can keep up with her sexually and of course he can't, so he does his best and shells out plenty of money and gifts to keep her otherwise happy. The younger woman either has some identity issues - abandoned by her father and is seeking a "father figure" or she's in it for the goods...the sports car, the dresses, the jewelry and other gifts. Not necessarily a gold digger, but more like a girlfriend for hire. It's an arrangement where everyone is happy. Older women who choose younger guys, well that's all about the sex! Unlike a man who's sexual abilities diminish with age, a woman doesn't really peak until her mid-thirties (and don't I know it, I'm 36) and a hot young stud of 20 - 25 can be just what the doctor ordered. If she's a woman of means, she can help the young man financially while he cleans her clock for her. Again, an arrangement where everyone is happy.

I think many women like older men because they are a little more mature and in some cases, financially stable. I know that sounds shallow, but in some cases, I think that is part of the attraction. My husband is 10 years older than me, and I was attracted to the fact that he wasn't as immature as men my own age.

As for men being attracted to younger women, I can only say I think men are always looking for a "younger model". Maybe a man can answer this better.

Older men go through mid life crisis. They feel they've lost it & want their youth back. They think they're the mac daddy w/ their young hot thang at their side. The youg women are attracted because of the father figure & security they feel w/ him. Also, an older man is well established financially.

Sorry but I date ladies my age and not young ones. I am in the 50's and the ladies out there are wonderful. Why would I want to teach when at my age the old dogs know what to do.

Besides sexual attraction I have always thought that men who preferred women the same age as their daughters were insecure. Older ladies have usually smartened up over time and are not as easily impressed with bulls***. Men love to brag about their cars and material things. Mature women already have their own toys, so thats not attractive. Men who don't act their age are not attractive to me in the least. I am not interested in "young" men, no matter how cute they are I want someone I can talk to after sex.

It could be a self esteem issue for the men and they dont want to feel like they are getting older, they just want to feel young again, and it boosts their self esteem to know they can get a girl that young still! As for the girls, they either like that they are more mature or they are just in it for the money!!

Younger women like the $$$ that older men posess at that stage in the game.
I've seen it time and again; a college student dating a 40-yr *OLD* doctor who has a daughter her age.
It's sick!
But that "older man" that she "loves" so much is buying her all the expensive outfits and jewelry she wants-
SO SHE CAN FLAUNT IT WHEN SHE CHEATS ON HIM WITH A YOUNGER MAN.

My opion is that they like younger because they either cant accept their ages.....or they feel like want people to look at them and say WOW WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO GET SOMEONE YOUNGER??---maybe he just lucked out.....or maybe it makes him feel younger himself....Dont know...theres tons of reasons.....its just a persons preferences....lol.... I prefer someone my own age as well...I WONT date younger men for instance.....I may go like 5 years older but thats it.....
