I think sin and religion are made up to control society. What do you think, and dont just write cause the Bible says, because literature such as the National Inquirer and People Magazine are not proof of the real truth, so the Bible isn't proof of the real truth either...(write your opinion about the subject)

Yes, The Bible is true. and if society followed it, there would be such love and peace and joy in the world, instead of all the constant perversion, violence, etc.
You say there is no proof. Oh yes, all thru history, they find many things that show proof. and also for anyone that really believes in God and loves Him and OBeys, God will reveal so many things to SHOW you the realness of Jesus Christ. oh yes. SO many miracles, how do you explain them? Just cuz you havent seen one,d oesnt mean they exist. they do and I have seen many. I wont quote Bible , wont do me any good. BUt, I will tell you God has shown me, and I know. From my very sick little boy to so many things in this life, I saw the workings of angels coming to protect me, still seeing it almost everyday. even yesterday my friend.
BUt, dont listen to me or anyone else. Ask God to reveal Himself to you. Just say I will believe, now show me, andHe will. begin to pray and just ask. He says seek and ye shall find. if you dont seek, you dont find, and the devil does not want you to seek at all. Just try it and watch what happens. Just ask Him to show you, Get the Bible and begin to read it a lot, asking HIm to reveal things to you. Dont just read it. Study it. and know that the more you learn, the more the lights go on. The Bible is like a giant beautiful jigsaw puzzle, that fits together one tiny piece at a time, become a glorious picture of His plan. It takes time. Start today, and pray. Ask God If you are real, show me. and boy oh boy, believe it and wait, keep praying. Jesus is coming soon, and you must be His before He comes. Start today. YOu must choose Him before you die or He returns to take us home.
I will pray for you.

I don't have an opinion but I have facts:

How do you think you came to being, how do you think everyone and every thing came to being? There is a creation of course there is a creator, God. Look at yourself look how the sun rises and sets look how the moon decides to come up right after that, so much organization I know no person could do that, God was the organizer. How about his unconditional love he's like a parent giving us chances and chances. And yet you ask this question, but I can't blame you because some people don't know. No, the Bible and sin aren't made up. The Bible might be changed a bit and so are many other scriptures but they are NOT made up. If you do wrong you WILL get punished for it, because there IS a hell and a Heaven.

Sorry, but I do not have an opinion, I have the facts the truth that the Bible Gods word clearly states. No by any means can we compare things like the National Inquirer, or People Magazine to the Bible.

Were not Adam and Eve punished for the sins?

What happen to the Israelites when they were disobedient?

What happen to Lots wife when she looked back?

What happen to Sodom and Gomorrah?

1John 3:4,8: "Everyone who practices sin is also practicing lawlessness, and so sin is lawlessness. He who carries on sin originates with the Devil"
(How forceful this is! Those who deliberately choose a course of sin, making a practice of it, are viewed by God as criminals. They course they have chosen is the one that Satan himself first took.)

So yes person have in the past been punished for their sins , and today we will be punished for our sins.

If we as person with inherited sin from our parents Adam and Eve, can punish our children when they have disobeyed us. What do you think of the God that has created us all will do if we sin and we are not repentant of our sins?

Are not murderers, child molesters, rapists and thieves punished
for their wrong doings by the law of man?

What do you think of the God that has created us all will do if we sin and we are not repentant of our sins?

Yes, the bible stories (not the bible itself) and "sin" are just made up. There's ample evidence to show that's true, and none to show it isn't.

That doesn't mean that people don't get "punished" for wrongdoing, however. The punishment is the consequences of your actions, which all people face. Do something bad (and "bad" depends on your own definition, and the definition of your society) and there are consequences resulting from your actions. If it's illegal, you can get caught and go to jail. If it harms someone else, you feel bad for harming others, and that person or their family might come and try to hurt you.
There are consequences for our actions that come from our society, from ourselves, and from other people...you reap the consequences of your actions even without a made-up mythical magical god to dish out punishment or reward.

Peace.

I do indeed believe people will be punished for their sins because that is ultimate justice.

If religion were made to control society, then why is society so out of control?

The Bible is testimony, not proof. God will prove himself to you. It is your responsiblity to have faith to respond to his message and you are failing in that regard. Have you even ever read the Bible?

I think it is perhaps most ridiculous to believe that sin will NOT be punished and that everything wrong that happens in this life happens and will not be set right. That would be grave injustice!

People are often "punished" for sin even before death. Haven't you seen people who lose all their friends because they broke trust with them or stole from them? People pay the consequences for their actions everyday. What the Bible is doing is setting a standard for people to live by. It isn't just a bunch of made up stories. Much of the Bible has been proven by archeology and science.

It also tells us the ultimate consequence for our choices. I'm not talking about being punished for sin. Jeus said those who reject God will be thrown into outer darkness where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth. When we stand before God there will be no veil between us and the truth about God. We will know every aspect of Him, all the light and love. If we choose to reject that then we will be separated from it. It's not a punishment as much as a consequence of our choices.

well i dont think that its made up because many things that have been prophesized in the Bible have come true, and not just in the past but also recently. just read revelations and you'll know. how could you have an opinion on whether to Bible is made up if you havent read the Bible. seeing is believing, if you dont know anything about the topic you shouldnt have an opinion, dont be ignorant.

The Bible's popularity in modern society certainly speaks of the impact the Roman empire has on our culture to this day.
I believe the bible holds some truths, indeed, every good lie holds some truth. I do not believe the bible has the majority of scripture right when it comes to God, humans, or life in general.

I believe the Holy Bible and it says that people will be punished for their sins.

Remember the NI and PM are written for money not for saving souls.

John 3:17 God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world but to save the world through Him.

Jesus saves, forgives and lives!
