In Chinese casinos (Macau), Baccarat makes over half of the profits of a casino. In USA, there are also many Chinese people at the Baccarat table, most of the high rollers on Baccarat tables are Chinese and in undergrounds Casinos all over China/Hong Kong, they also play a lot of Baccarat games. I was just wondering why that game was so popular among them. It's also seen as glamorous to play it, and I would also like to know why, is it because it shows other people that you have enough money to gamble huge ammounts on every hand?

I think you are talking about Punto Banco mate, it seems to be popular with the Asians if it's the 5% option game this gives them the chance to pay the tax for other players. If you are sat at the table with the top boy from the local Triad's then you get a chance to get into the good books.
The game of Baccarat differs from Punto in that individual customers can be the bank if they can put up a certain % of the bets on the table, there is also an option to draw a card if the dealer has 5 or 6 in Punto there is no draw option. if you want to be the bank you have to have a large bank role.
There is also another game called Chemin De Fir and it is similar to Baccarat but has a couple of small differences.
