There are several brands made for men. Comfilons are my favorite. WoMan is another decent brand. If you want to try some to see if you like them, go with L'eggs Sheer Energy. Go by the size chart and pick the larger size if on the borderline.

Just about any type will do. You need to check the back panel of the package for your height and weight. If you are cross dressing, you may wish to wear hip pads as gravity will tend to draw them down if there isn't a big difference between the size of your waist and your hips.
