Not accepting Christ as your savior and not loving God. All other sins follow from those. If you accept Christ, then your sins will be forgiven. If you love God, then you will obey his commandments and "love your neighbor...".

If you just asked this question they way you did to let’s say 100 people, 70 to 80% of which would probably mentally rate the worse sins. However, how does Jehovah God view sins? Is lying the same as fornication? Or are they completely different sins not in the “top 10?” Let’s delve into some scriptures that mention more than one sin.

1 Corinthians 6:9, 10: “What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom.”

Let’s break this scripture down. Those two scriptures said that fornication, idolaters, adulterers, homosexuality, thieves, greedy persons, drunkards, liars, revilers and extortioners just to mention a few. All of these traits (sins) are bunched up together. Remember, “all scripture is inspired of God and beneficial.” (2 Timothy 3:16) Even though homosexuality and liars are totally different sins, Jehovah views each as equally bad and said that none of these traits will get one into God’s Kingdom. This is not up for debate. How about another scripture?

Proverbs 6:16-19: “There are six things that Jehovah does hate; yes, seven are things detestable to his soul: lofty eyes, a false tongue, and hands that are shedding innocent blood, a heart fabricating hurtful schemes, feet that are in a hurry to run to badness, a false witness that launches forth lies, and anyone sending forth contentions among brothers. Jehovah views each of these acts (liars, haughtiness, murder, etc.) as equally detestable and therefore condemned.

Therefore, just from these brief examples, there is not a specific ranking of sins committed by humans. Rather, a sin is a sin. Moreover, we must remember that Jehovah God’s laws are perfect, trustworthy, upright, pure, and true. (Psalms 19:7-11).

Thanks,

Sin is anything that keeps us seperate from God. God created the ten commandments as a guideline to know what those sins are and everything that stems from them. The seven deadly sins are the direct result of disobeying God's commandments. They are classified as deadly because of what sin is capable of doing.

Any sin is a top sin as far as God is concerned. And any sin will send a person to hell.

I love how people are saying that all sins are "equal" and there is no greater sin.
So if I intentionally kill a kitten, I am just as sinful as if I had stolen a candy bar?
Does this make any sense?
Well, that's okay, I'll just ask the priest for forgiveness and be scot free.
=] It's the Christian way.
