I have a cold,,,can't get rid of it. Everything is itchy and watery,,,and I'm sneezing, coughing, sore throat, hot and cold all at the same time. I tried getting an appointment w/the doc. but he can't see me until next week. I've tried Tylenol cold/flu...didn't work so I tried Sudafed...and I still feel horrible...I've been drinking lots of orange juice too. Does anyone have something I don't know about that would help?

The only thing that is going to help get rid of the cold is Rest. Also try and get some Vitamin C tablets.

YES.

The problem you have is that you have been exposed to the marvelous marketing genius of drug companies and doctors who know very little about the mechanisms that cause colds and flu. These are the people that will give you antibiotics, shots, and recommend aspirin, tylenol, etc., but then tell you it's going to take some time and just get some rest. Oh, and take all the over the counter medications that drug companies tell you will really work and they never do. You may feel a little better, but it doesn't create immunity or help you get over the cold or flu; in actuality it extends the cold or flu.

So, how can you get rid of this problem. There are a few suggestions that will do so. If you had just come down with the early symptoms of a cold or flu, like sneezing, watery eyes, a little tickle in your sore throat, you can get rid of that in one day.

If you have the cold or flu and it has set in for the duration it will take about 2 days or 3 max to get rid of it completely.

By the way, the orange juice you are drinking is probably store bought bottle of dead concentrate mixed with some local filtered water that also contains things like soy and other fillers like artificial vitamin C that they tell you will help your cold get better. Has it? NOT.

O.K. enough abuse. Here's the solution:

Go to this web site: www.healthline.cc

I am not a doctor and am not prescribing this, but merely suggesting that if I had the problem, this is what I would do:

purchase the following items:

(1) colostrum
(1) nucleotides
(1) oleuropin
(1) allicidin

These are all natural products derived from once living sources that nourish your body, not damage your liver, kill your friendly bacteria, shorten your life like all the drugs and pharmacy solutions.

The colostrum is bovine colostrum and is 40x more potent than human colostrum and is biologically highly assimilated. This will stabilize your immune system. I would take about 8 to 10 capsules per day.

The nucleotides are derived from once living sources and will kick your immune system into high gear. Very important to take these each hour. I suggest 2 per hour all your waking hours. This product is derived from brewers yeast.

Oleuropin is an extract from olive leaves and has been found to kill virus, bacteria, & fungus very effectively. I would take as much as 10 to 15 per day.

Allicidin is an extract from garlic and is the active ingredient in garlic that creates the marvelous results. I would take about 6 of these per day.

All of the above products are provided not in pill form or in gelatin capsules, so you get the pure grade 10 herbs that really work for you. There are no toxic tagalongs like in pills or gelatin made from cow hooves.

After you get over this cold, you need to seriously think about changing your diet to boost your immune system so you won't get colds or flu. I have not had a cold, flu, or hayfever (that I used to have very badly) in over 4 years now since I corrected my diet and stopped listening to the so called "modern medicine" group who really have no clue when it comes to degenerative diseases.

If your cold persist more that 1 week you might have bronchitis. Go to the health food place and get some Natural things. Plenty of water, cod liver oil , please take vitamins, try the old remedies from grandma , they work. Lemon with tea. Stay away from alot of cough medicines, they have alot of alcohol in them. Chicken with rice, the broth is good for the cold, throat.
