Yes it is rude, and they are taught to push it as hard as they can. They think it is saving you from their imaginary demons. I think that is true among most religions, but evangelical Christians are the worst.

Why do people who arent christian get mad when they over hear christians talking/praying together over their beliefs? I've been put down for this so many times it's scary, kind of rude don't you think? It goes both ways, not all believers and unbelievers are the same. It happens on both sides of the fence and will continue until the tribulation starts.
Christians are charge with going out into the world and making disciples, to be the salt and light of the world. Just because they are charged with doing it doesn't mean they are all good at it! Take them on a person by person basis, I bet you met several christians that you didnt even KNOW were right away until they mentioned it. Their deeds should give a hint of it if their mouth does not profess it. The only way to make disciples is to spread the word and teach those that come to follow what you've been shown by Him.
All in all, it's nothing personal, they are trying to save you. You can choose to accept or reject it in the end.

Yes they seem to think their way of believing is the only way. How in the hell do they know anymore than anyone else. Personally I think what they believe is dumb and doesn't make sense. They follow a book that was written by men based on events that took place sooo long ago. Thats like someone writing a book today and asking people to believe in what they wrote, except people don't do that because no one would believe them. Answer this, how come things that happened back then don't happen today?? Maybe because they are false??? The Christians have a rude awakening coming I think. God doesn't like hypocrites I am sure of it and he doesn't like people that critisize other people. I think believing has nothing to do with the bible, I think it is all about love and being a good person all around.

It's more than rude, it can be destructive. Christians pushing their religions on people has been one of the main factors of the death of native societies. From Easter Island to Greenland, their refusal to live and let live has erased many languages and cultures. Even as far back as the beginning of the Bible, God's "Chosen People" were told to go out and wipe out anyone not like themselves. These days that's called Genocide, Xenoside, or Holy War, depending if you're doing it or not. Muslims aren't guiltless either, but they've calmed down a bit the last few years so that only a few freaks still take the jihad seriously.

If someone says to me they believe that the sky is actually purple and give me the reasons they believe that would you think they were trying to force their belief on me, or just telling me what they believe? I have the option to believe or not. I also have the option to tell them I disagree and why. If your civilized about it the discussion can be interesting and perhaps make you curious enough to examine the evidence.
The problem with many people who don't want to actually hear what a Christian has to say is that they believe what someone else has told them about Christians so they are prejudice against them before the Christian can even express an opinion. They are behaving in the closed mined manner they condemn Christians for.

I completely agree it is beyond rude. Yet they won't ever stop. They are told "by God" and by their pastors to do so. It is appalling the number who refuse to take "I'm not interested" for an answer.
No other religion in the world prosetlyzes the way they do. Other religions give you the option to join if you choose but you are to do your own research first and then decide.

not if its done with love. God does not want any to perish and we(christians) are to go out into the world and spread the gospel. its called the great commission. Mark 16:15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
2 Peter 3:9: "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
Of course its up to the indiviual to accept this and he himself should not want to perish so that he may spend eternity with him in heaven.

On the contrary, it's out of the compassion and love that people share the good news of the gospel with others.
If you were to see someone in danger, wouldn't you want to warn them?
Why allow someone to perish eternally when that person can be saved? If you have good news, don't you like to share it with others?
The good news is that Jesus Christ loves you and has a plan and purpose for your life. He took the punishment which you and I deserved when He died on the cross. He has made a way whereby you can be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ.
Seek ye the Lord while He may be found
Call upon Him, while He is near.
The Lord bless you my friend!

By the same token, Why to Atheists feel the need to force their religion on christians? If you don't want us to preach to you, don't preach to us.
(by the way, this is america, and we're perfectly entitled to share our opinion as much as you are.)

True Christians gather together to talk about their God, and Jesus works. I see happy people in that group.
Then when we try to clear up false hoods by educating people in their homes, they prefer opinions to truths.
There are 2 ways to stop education. Excuse yourself and leave, or turn off the computer.
At least there are those Christians who are following God's commands through Jesus, to seek his sheep and feed them.

we only want what's best for the world. You think it's fun, debating blibical issues with an idiot who has their heart set on argueing for the sake of argueing? The only reason why I would share the Good News with anyone is because I honestly do want them to be saved.
