By being there for her and not reminded her she needs to lose weight. Let her come to you

It is her body - why are you asking the question? Instead you should ask how you can help her feel good about herself and where is the best place to buy her an outfit for her birthday. People who have weight issues know it and need to have back up regardless of where they are in the process. My Cousin was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer after a broken leg revealed cancer cells and as it turns out she wasn't fat because of her eating it was her illness. We don't know her prognosis since for the past 3+ years she had been on every diet imaginable and that is how she broke her leg, lack of calcium weakened it so while working a stair climber it snapped. This country has a weight loss obsession and is looking to the person instead of the real problems. Weight is a convenient way for Dr's to exploit patients for money while not really treating them. Help your sister by being a good friend and support her in her efforts!

Call her & go for walks together. Walking is a great start & as she gets in better shape the walks can get longer & faster. It's amazing how much weight you can drop when you go from sitting all the time to getting an hour of exercise a day.

I think that the only way you will be able to help her is if she wants help, and only if she wants to change, If she has asked you for the help then you should think of things that you guys can do together that will raise the heart rate and burn some calories not only that but get her to cut back on soda, sweets, and foods like bread and fast foods then you might see a change and she might feel better also use positive comments or positive things that she might not see in herself and point them out that helps too but keep in mind she has to want to change

Frist this is a touchy subject. Sit her down and have a serious convo with her. Explain that you are worried about her health. Suggest starting excercizing with her and going on a diet togeather. Support her and dont put her down it is always easyer to do things with someone elses than alone.

Be supportive. That is the number one most helpful thing. Then, you could go exercise with her and eat right with her. If you are doing the right, healthy things, it would make it easier for her.

you could either work out with her or encourage ger to join a gym like Curves. i know lots of women who go there and they like it. a group like that will help her lose the weight and provide her with friends with the same issues and goals.
