First of all you have to set a more realistic goal. Like 10 to 14 pounds a month is good. Both my kids lost about 14 this last month, we are counting calories.
I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

listen kid, losing that much weight in that short of a time is extremly unhealthy! You can do serious damage to your body. I would set a number of goals if you want to lose that weight. They should start out small as you get started, like 3 pounds by the end of the week, and move up to maybe 5 pounds. Also, eat healthier. I know this is hard. I'm a bad eater too. Exercise daily. 3 times a week, do a cardio or muscular activity. You only need to do them for 20 minutes each day for 3 days a week! If you keep that up, you'll lose that weight pretty quickly.

Not gonna happen. That's a pound per day. 1 pound of fat is the equivalent of 3500 calories. Even if you could find a way to burn 3500 more calories than you eat in a day, your system simply can't convert fat that fast.
Its good that you're setting a goal, but goals need to be reasonable and achievable to have a chance at success.
Talk to your parents about eating sensibly and ask for their help to make sure there's less junk food around the house.
Take up some physical activities. Ride your bike, go out for the track team, turn off the TV, put away the video games.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Sorry dude...but thats not realistic. 20 lbs, MAYBE!!!! But you'll lose evenly once you start dropping the weight, so dont try and 'focus' on areas. The first answer was very helpful, i gave it a thumbs up! i suggest "calorieking.com" as well. it has lots of info
