I'm talking about no limits, low to mid buy-ins,
SHORT-HANDED

I would like to have your opinions about how to play against loose aggressive players. You know the type of player i'm talking about : large stack, constantly steal the blinds, raise large ammount of chips, ect.

I dont know if its a bad timing but often when I try to play back at them, they wake up with a monster and bust me.
I know the best is to wait for a premium hands and to get him, but when the hands dont come, he still steals all the chips with his aggression.

i know exactally what you are talking about. i play poker all the time and i play kind of the way you described yourself playing. A kind of Tight player. One of the regular players i play with is just like the player you described and so i know what i'm talking about when i say they can be beat. I've read many books and learned that if you want to be a player who is tight you must be tight aggressive. That is, when your involved in a hand for once, you must play it hard because your aggressiveness is what makes you money not the being tight and waiting. Another thing is to have patioence. Finally, go with your instincts and gut feeling. If you believe you have then go for it. If you get broke then u get broke. at lest you learn something from your oppenent. remember that you learn from your mistakes.

You are right, it is not easy. I too have been in the situation. You try to wait them out, and when you do make a stand with a premium hand they just happen to have a monster.

The problem with these players is also that they like to gamble. So when you do re-raise them with a weak hand, they may just re-raise you or move all in, just to gamble. Even if they have a weak hand, you are risking your stack on a coin flip. This kind of player loves to do that anyway, so they will probably not fold even then.

I don't think there is an easy answer to this question. If you are in a tournament and the antes have already started you have to take a stand. If you are talking low stakes ring games, you may as well sit back and let someone else kill him or tackle him with a real monster hand.

2 words work for me: play tight

Why, it shows the player you don't play crap. When the player gets agressive with their chips and you have a hand, pull the trigger and go all in. Once you win a hand or two, they will understand that your all business and if they try and steal against you they are gonna pay for it.

If your not in the hand, don't worry about it. Its not your chips that are on the line. Let other folks figure it out.

When short you have to be agressive when betting, just not uber agressive. If you bet pot on a hand that he is trying to steal, he is gonna come over the top and take it along with all of your chips.

Again, your chips are gonna do the talking.

you need to be careful on line gambling if you're playing for real money i know more than a few people running scams and getting away with it its bloody highway robbery play a real poker game at a table with people right their its way easier to read people when they are right there Internet gambling comes with a false sense of security that comes with knowing you are anonymous and virtually untouchable even when web cams are in play so my advice play at a real table i don't know much about cards but i know human nature and its hard to run a scam when you can count the beads of sweat running down you're opponents neck good luck
