My daughter was the same way. She would take cat naps all day long. It was good though because she slept through the night. You could try formula at night to see if she gets better sleep that way.

I wouldn't go to formula if you are doing fine breastfeeding and if the baby is gaining weight. Your child may just be going through a sleep adjustment. But it sounds like something is uncomfortable for the baby that she keeps waking up after such short naps. The baby should be sleeping several hours a night and take two or three 1-2 hour naps each day. I'm wondering if there isn't something in the room (too much light, noise, no light or noise) that is preventing the baby from sleeping longer. Also, make sure to burp the baby (or do your best to) each time after you feed her. She may be gassy and that could wake her up.

I'd suggest looking at the room and see if there's something you could change there. Sorry to not have much better advice, but please keep nursing! Good luck!

you could try a bottle of formula around 10 p.m. but my baby was the exact same way i didn't get a break in between the 15 minute naps here and there, but after i filled his tummy with a bottle of formula he would sleep about 5 hrs. at night then i'd nurse then he'd sleep another 3. Soon he'd get on a routine of having an hour long nap twice a day then sleep through the night at 3 and a half months!
It will get better!

Breast is ALWAYS best! Even if you express and add a little formula to the breast milk that is still good enough. Maybe it is a good idea to express and feed with at bottle for a while to see just how much milk your baby is getting. You have to try and get him/her to sleep longer periods of time. When he wakes up try and rock him back to sleep again or give him a pacifier.
