We live in a troubled world. - Jesus of Nazareth
As long as there is hatred in the hearts of man, there is no room for the love of Jesus. Until all people invite Jesus into their hearts, we will live in a troubled world.
Life is choice and free will. We can't choose the weather or the economy but we get to choose where we spend eternity. God leaves the big decision up to us. What will you choose?
We are here on earth because God put us here.

In the latter times before the Great Tribulation, Revelations speaks of these things happening. It predicts we will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Kingdom against kingdom, nation against nation. What is LIFE? You answer your own question. It is an opportunity to live. An opportunity to grow, advance, create, inspire....etc. Simply put, humans are here to worhip the Lord. That is the main purpose. Everything else is futile....

To understand these questions requires understanding some basic principles first.
Before coming to earth we lived with God. One of his sons, said that he would come to earth and save mankind by overcoming death and giving them an example in which to live their lives and the glory would be the father's. Another son had a plan to come to earth and force everyone to be good, thus making it possible for all man kind to return to our Heavenly Father.
Our Heavenly Father chose the First. As a result, the second caused a third of the hosts of heaven to follow him.
We chose to flollow Jesus' plan and thus fulfilled our first estate.
Our second estate (our purpose on earth) is to become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ by following his example. If we fulfill our second estate we can return to live with Our Heavenly Father again.

What do you mean today? Humanity hasn't changed and this has always been going on. The only difference is our technology level. You already know what life is, you are living it. No one knows why human beings are here. We got lucky and made it to the top of the food chain by virtue of evolution.

It is sad that everyone wants to impose on everybody else and a good life should not be spent (wasted) like this.

One word: competition.
Life is the gift God.
Our purpose is to do his will and glorify him. Do you not ask the same of your kids? That they represent the family well and do what you say?
