I have read several answers on Y/A and discovered that you are misrepresenting Judaism.
Why don't you just admit that you are Christians? People, who do not know anything about Jewish faith, would begin to believe that Jews have a profound belief in Jesus. This is of course not true. I am not a fan of anyone who cusses and misinterprets any faiths just to obtain new followers. I personally have never met any of you, but I have met many missionaries. I do not mind that for they are open about their true intentions. You Messianics are life foxes slowly spreading in your distorted facts about Judaism amongst the public. I have read many of your answers and they in way represent the Jewish faith.
Have we as Jews tried to penetrate your faith and to distort the facts from within? No, because we have respect for all people to practice their faiths in peace. Let us practice ours in peace and how it was intended. Drop your cloak and admit that you are not real Jews.

I have nothing against them trying to rediscover their heritage. May God grant them success to their journey of rediscovering their faith and heritage. However, I take an offense when they call themselves Jews. If they called themselves Messianic Christians, I would be fine with that. We as Jews do not have the profound belief in Jesus those who follow his teachings are called Christians, not Jews.

Adorablesuperspy, I am indeed a Jew. I do not hate rules or morality. I hate deceit and people who try to discredit my faith.

Full gospel Shirley, I thank you. Perhaps, you are a Missionary, but at least you don’t hide behind the cloak of deceit. I do know enough about the Tanach and that is why I am arguing that they cannot be real Jews or any other type of Jews. Where does it say that we as Jews missed the God’s mark? We are legalistic, focus on rules and laws because it is the heart message of God. Keeping his commandments is the basis of the faith. Why? Because He Himself has commended us to do so on Sinai. Furthermore, I have very good attitude about Jews for I am one. I do have bad attitudes against those who try to destroy my faith. I agree with you everyone has free will that God has given then and that is why I support them if they want to be called Messianic Christians. I do have the right to tell someone who is wrong, if his/her action results in deserting the truth, misrepresenting Judaism and making those less educated about Jewish faith believe that Jesus is part of Judaism

You're right. Messianic Judaism can be seen as deceitful and in a way an insult to both religions.

Christian mainstream groups all condemn, openly, the way that Messianics lie and pose as 'messianic jews'. Some Messianics are Protestant Christians. Some are just Christians who really think they're getting some form of link TO Judaism by joining a Messianic Church. They're not - they would be far better to come and join us in Synagogue and forge a GENUINE link to Jews and Judaism, rather than running around lying and claiming to be 'messianic jews' when they have NEVER BEEN JEWS and are not now.

I can understand how this would bother you. These people are misrepresenting Judaism, in a the fact that they are not following the Jewish religion; they have accepted Jesus Christ as the Messiah, and follow both the Torah and the Tanakh, Nevi'im, K'tuvim, the five Meggillot, and the new testimonites of the students of Jesus Christ. The new Tesimonies are a cumilation of proof, of Jesus being who He says He is, for us; they were alive and witnessed with their own eyes. And after Jesus ascended back to His Father, He promised He would not leave us orphans; but would send the Great Counselor, that is the Holy Spirit of God; to guide us and dwell in us; to teach us, through the name of Jesus Christ/ Yeshua/ what ever you wish to call Him. So, this being done, all who accept Jesus as the Messiah, are given the Holy Spirit. Jew and Gentile alike. Jews know they are God's chosen people, and are still waiting for the Messiah. I dont understand how Jesus failed to prove Himself to them, but I think it says in the Bible that is what would happen, until the battle of Ezekial takes place. (Which seems to be in process of occurring rather soon.) My Grandmother was an orthodox Jew; my husbands family is Messianic. I have to admit, upon my first impression of his family, I was rather offended, by their claiming to be hebrew, by salvation. They said that upon acceptance of the Messiah, that they had been grafted into the natural olive tree. This is also what Word says, of the gentiles who come to Jesus. That they are adopted. God also says that they being used by Him, to make Israel jeaous. Seems to be working. I know that to proclaim Christ, doesn't make you a Jew, and such a proclaimation leaves you out in the cold, with your Jewish family; but the Messiah came to save us all; and being a "real" Jew, is not the issue. I am of Jewish heritage, but I believe Jesus is the Messiah- does that make me not a Jew? No. I am still of the same heritage. I am still a Jew. I still endure persecution for being a Jew. I also endure persecution for being a believer in Jesus Christ, not only from the world, but from other Jews, who dont like my belief in Messiah. I have not heard Messianics claim to be Jewish; I have heard them claim to be followers of the the Word of God, from start to finish, including the testament of Jesus. I hope that you will open your heart to all people and allow Jesus to prove Himself to you. He did for me, and that is why I believe. I absolutely think that Messianic people are on the right track; they adhere to the law, and to the Messiah. They believe that Jesus saves us, and that obeidiance is both pleasing to God, and helps us grow spiritually. This combination of salvation and obeidiance is the most powerful thing I cannot even describe it. I do not consider myself Messianic, nor Christian. I am just a sinner, who by the grace of God, was called out from among the nations to live and tell others the good news. I guess if you want to put a title on human beings, then I am that generic word, christian. However, I actually find that offensive, because that word describes alot of people I am nothing like, nor want to be like. Im just Erin, child of God. Sinner, imperfect, flawed..but forgiven. I love myJewish family. I also love my Gentilefamily. And above all else; we are commanded to love one another.
Shalom!

As a Muslim I think I understand your point.
You can't put anyone equal to God as a member of Judaism,
That is polytheism and strictly forbidden ,even more, one of the biggest sin.
That is something else but not Judaism for sure.
No way to represent Jewish Faith.
Have a nice day

These people's claim to be Jews is deceitful and arrogant, and they should stop. If they respected Jewish law, they would follow it. However, instead they twist it to meet their needs. No religion based on this kind dishonesty and lack of respect for others should be considered legitimate.

What is wrong with you, with all that anger and judgement? thats not of God. Do you know anything about the Bible. There is such a thing as a messianic jew. Thats a Jew that believes in Jesus Christ. many do. many do not. the ones that dont arent Christians, they are simply jews.
THe jews are Gods chosen ppl, always have been, always will be. But, God says the missed the mark, which is what happens when one becomes legalistic, focusing on rules and laws and not the heart message of God. Many will come into the fold of christianity, and be saved. Those that dont accept Jesus will not. You should only be prayng for more jews to accept Jesus. And, we as gentiles were adopted into the faith, tho we arent Jews, we are Gods. and God tells us to tell them and the world about Jesus. Name calling and judging is not changing anything. Just be sure you are Christian and ready for Jesus when He comes to rapture us home. I pray you are. Also, you better change your attitude about the jews as God says if we bless Israel, we will be blessed, but if we curse Israel, we will be cursed. We are to be praying for the Jews till Jesus comes, without judgment. Many jews have come to the Christian faith, and some Christians have become Jewish. Everyone has a right to choose. God gives us all free choice, who are you to say we cant make our own choices. True Christians, those of God , truly of God, respect others for their faith, give them rights to believe as they want, just like GOd does, but we do know this Jesus Christ is the real messiah, and that somehow some of the jews missed that. Doesnt make them bad or stupid. just missed it. Any religion focusing on just the rules as sabbath as only day, and all of that, will miss the message of Jesus, and didnt even know Him when He came. as Many wont know when He coems again either.
Let others deceide theri faith, and just be keeping yours and praying. Even God tells us we can do that. You arent God, and you have no right to tell others they are fake if they dont believe as you do. I pray you find Jesus and find Him soon, before its too late. BUt, I love you, dont judge you or condemn you. God says to let someone be that wont accept Jesus, but to pray. Thats what I am doing for you. But, stop bashing the Messianic Jews. The Bible says how more will come in in the last days. maybe soon, you will be one. I pray it. Also God gave the old law temporarily and said it wouldnt work, a shawdow of things to come. and that is what happened. God knew ppl focused on anything but HIM would miss out. There is a new law, better than the last, and it involves Jesus Christ. Chose HIm soon.

As a people God chose the Jews so that His majesty and glory would be made manifest to the rest of the world. But, like all other peoples, they (the Jewish people) are held to the same standards that God holds all peoples to. For more information, see

Yes Teacher, if they believe in Christ, as a religion, they are "Christians"! By trying to present themselves as something that they are not it only makes it seem like they have a sinister agenda, or something to hide.

Wow, shockingly poor answers!
Coming from a Christian, I would think they should drop the Jew name based on several Scriptures. But I would have a greater hope that all Jews come to know Jesus as LORD.

Perhaps you should spend less time condemning others and try to accept they know more about the basis of Christianity than most Chrisitans do today. They have every right to hold to their heritage and lineage.
