i quit smoking about 6 months ago too and gained the nasty 10 pounds! a month and a half ago i decided enough is enough...just working out doesn't do it. now, i am on Atkins, I only drink water and do stairs and light weights and take tons of viatmins including omega 3. its hard when you are so orally fixated on things because the cigarettes equate to food so i find it important to have light snacks throughout the day like cheese and salmon, a few saltines, and key ingredient-tons and tons of tea. tea caffeine helps me with my metabolism and flushes out my system of oils and toxins. i highly recommend it: www.teavana.com is amazing. good luck girl, and keep fighting!!

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.
Good LUCK!

I lost a good 10 pounds or so with no extra effort or diet - I bought some colon cleansing pills online. There are many different brands, these were "Extreme Colon Cleanser". It involves spending an amazing time in the restroom, you won't believe how well it works. Within a few weeks you'll be down 10 pounds.

if you can't find a way to cleanse you colon a good way i think is to balance your carb, protein, and fat intake, i kno you rpobably can't afford super healthy foods know cause your in college but just keep these in mind when your about to eat:
1) Make sure that the food your eating doesn't look like this 45g of card and 2g of protein then 0g fat, belive it or not your need fat to burn fat just make sure you have a pretty good balance of everything
2) Do not eat anything higher than 10g of carbs after 2pm in the day then your body gets more time to burn the carb and you don't go to sleep with it.
3) your portiion size should be a little bigger than your fist.
4) Eat filling things like oatmeal and fruit cause if you go eat a burger and fries your going to need more and more to fill you up.
5) Try good carbs and good fats: canola oil and so fort.
6) Drink alot of water, make sure you drink about 8 glasses a day, the best thing is to get a water bottle with the measurements on it it will make you want to hit your goal.
I hope this helps you.

Ok here's the deal. I am a personal trainer here in Indiana one of the fatest states in the USA. The bottom line is that I need to know exactly what you eat on a daily basis...can you help me out with that. Secondly, I need to know what type of excercise you are doing. Please be specific and I will be able to help you. Also, please tell me what med's if any you take.

That's easy. You just have to have smaller portions for each meal. Continue with your exercise and water and stock up more on fruits and veges.
