It is a VOLUNTARY donation for admission to the Museum of Natural History you can give ANY amount ignore the "suggested donation" signs. the Metroploitan Museum of Art has the same admission policy, basically pay what you wish. The Museum of Modern Art on 53rd St. is free friday night as is the Morgan Library on Madison and 36
Hope you enjoy your visit.

unless ur a member (it costs money to be a member) u have to pay admission. very very expensive, too. adult: $18, child: $10, senior or student: $14.50. also, certain exhibits and shows in the theater cost extra $$. they have a super saver package, which includes the imax show, the butterfly conservatory, the space show(totally awesome!), and whatever special exhibit is there at the time. right now it's the GOLD exhibit. for more info, go to www.amnh.org. did i mention that the museum is awesome?!
