Thank about it he went and got killed in one of the most horrible deaths imaginable. That is the stupidest logic in the entire Bible. How can you bealive an Omnipotent God would have to send his son who is himself to be crucified in order to save mankind. Now how can anyone get any reasonable sense out of that and still call themselves sane?

So we can relate. You would have to be insane to relate to anything like that.

The Bible or Tradition?

How, though, did non-Biblical ideas make their way into church teaching? Many churches profess that the Bible is their highest authority. For instance, not long ago Pope John Paul II spoke of the need for Scripture to be “accepted by the faithful in the full depths of its truth and as the supreme rule of our faith.” It is generally accepted, however, that the teachings of Christendom today are not identical with those of the first-century Christians. Most churches regard the changes as part of the gradual development of church doctrine. Moreover, the Catholic Church takes the position that church tradition has the same authority as the Scriptures. The New Catholic Encyclopedia says that the church “holds no truth on the basis of Scripture alone, independently of tradition, nor on the basis of tradition alone, independently of Scripture.”

Historically, churches have replaced Scriptural teachings with those based only on tradition. In fact, many churches now hold that the Bible’s teachings are wrong. For example, the New Catholic Encyclopedia states that it is “obvious that many Biblical statements are simply not true when judged according to modern knowledge of science and history.” Speaking of the Biblical teaching that the dead are unconscious, it adds: “Even in religious matters, the O[ld] T[estament] testifies to an imperfect knowledge of . . . life after death.” The encyclopedia cites Psalm 6:5 (verse 6 in some Bibles) as an example of this: “In death there is no mention of you; in Sheol [or, Hades] who will laud you?” Some Protestant seminaries and colleges no longer teach that the Bible is inerrant. The Catholic Church, on the other hand, believes that it possesses the magisterium, or teaching authority, by which it interprets what is taught in the Bible. You might wonder, though, ‘What if such interpretations seem to be at odds with the Scriptures?’

The Importance of the Scriptures

Jesus repeatedly cited the Scriptures as authoritative, often prefacing his points by saying: “It is written.” (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10; Luke 19:46) Indeed, when Jesus spoke about man’s marital situation, he drew, not upon Greek philosophical conjecture, but upon the Genesis account of creation. (Genesis 1:27; 2:24; Matthew 19:3-9) Clearly, Jesus considered the Scriptures to be inspired by God and factual. In prayer to God, he said: “Your word is truth.”—John 17:17.

okay i got a story for you that maybe you can understand a little better. okay once upon there was a boy and his father who were really close. well one day the man took his boi to work with him. His job was to lift the lever so that the bridge would go up when there was a boat coming through on the river. well the little boi was running around just checking every thing out and he managed to get stuck in a gear. he began to yell and scream, and call for help till his dad got to him. but then the dad heard the sound of a boats horn saying to lift the bridge. but the dad knew if he hit the lever and lifted the bridge it would kill his son. but if he didnt lift the bridge then 300 other innocent people would die. He gave up his only son to save ALOT of people. same with God. he is more complicated than you mind is. if you cant grasp that then you will spend your life questioning everything.

He came to earth in the form of a man so that you and i can relate to him. Then he took on the most horrible death, died in our place so that we may live, otherwise we would all die for our sin, He made an escape for us, which is eternal life! Jesus said, “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28).He came to give his life, to die, and his death would purchase salvation for others.Death was Jesus’ most important ministry. This is the way we remember him, through the cross as a symbol of Christianity or through the bread and wine of the Lord’s Supper. Our Savior is a Savior who died. Then he rose from the grave and now lives in heaven. He came to earth to fulfill this prophecy. it was predicted that this would happen long before he came to earth. Read (Matthew 16:21-22).

God loved you enough to send His Son Jesus, to die for your sin and take your place - not insane at all, but unconditional love.

I understand you are having a hard time wrapping your human mind around it. However, that does not change what the living God has done.

He gave you free will to choose. It appears you've chosen not to believe...and that is your choice.
