I'd go for the egg, as some dinosaurs laid eggs, surely they came before pigs

Don't you mean: Which came first, the chicken or the egg? You can't have an egg, without a chicken, but you can't have a chicken without it hatching from an egg. I'd have to say the chicken came first, because God created all animals. In your question, which came first the bacon or the egg, I'd have to say the egg. When God created animals, they were just animals, a pig was not bacon, but chickens and birds and reptiles did lay eggs. Bacon only came about when man butchered them.

The bacon comes first. You fry the eggs in the bacon grease to make em extra tasty.

your question makes no sense.
But I'm gonna go with eggs, since reptiles laid eggs way before pigs were even around.
