I think he was probably more afraid during the vision.... and yet, if he was in the presence of Jesus in the vision.... i think the 'afraid' would have been on a different level than what we can imagine.

May your day be blessed

Actually, you see, John was more likely slipping into insanity. When the brain is deprived of sentient stimulus for long periods of time, delusions occur, even in the most mentally healthy person, both audio and visual abnormal behavior is common.

John supposedly wrote revelations while exiled on the isle of patmos. If anyone reads revelations carefully, it is obvious that more than anything it is influenced by previous religious concepts.

Many people don't realize that while Christianity has been the most historically violent religion, in the early days, Christians were persecuted rather harshly for their beliefs. This would only further John into a sense of mental collapse. Even to a mentally healthy person the thought of all those who were persecuting you suffering would have been a strangely desirable thought.

John was writing this letter to the churches of Rome to tell them about the teachings of Jesus and Jesus' revelation. but he wrote it during a time of severe persecution of Christians so he used a code so the persecutors couldn't decipher it. So I highly doubt he was scared

John was well educated. He was a man of God and had confidence in what he was doing. He was writing under inspiration. At one point when he knelt before the Angel that was directing him, he was reproofed. The angel told him not to do that.
Bear in mind John was writing at a time when few understood the art, and that he did it from memory from the visions he was given.
Now realize that these visions were symbolic of future events to come.
We are left with the fact that he couldn't have understood all of the visions, because they were intended for us here now in his future.
In this, the time of the end, we are being given the meanings of his "prophecy's".
I kind of pity those who are actually outside of the sphere of influence available to Witnesses today.
The world we live in has no idea of what is coming...........
You asked for my opinion..........Probably, just a little, but with an Angel at your side, why worry?
You need to recall, it is Jehovah who blesses...........I know since I talk to him much of the time, and from the way my life runs.......I know he listens..........Continue with your research,
