How do I fit in?

I am an American Indian. I love the Indian culture(movies &
songs), but I love ot here b/c I was born here.Please help me!

This is why they say that Native people "walk in two worlds".
It is a personal struggle for most Native people to find out where they fit in. It is a battle not often won and with many consequences. It shapes Native identity today. For example the younger generations are asked by tribal people to go into the majority culture, get their education, but then come back to the tribe and use that education to benefit the culture. It is definitely hard to navigate both worlds. It is hard to shape ones identity when doing so. It is also hard to explain to friends why one may seem to have multiple personalities.
Eventually it becomes somewhat easier, you will develop an identity you are proud of and learn by experience what works for you and what doesn't. It can be hard at times and easier at others. One thing I found to be helpful is to get active. Volunteer and join organizations that are cultural and that match your personal interests. This helps bridge the gap and you will find yourself among others facing the same challenges.

I am a Native woman. I have a lot of experience with this. I know many Natives that do.

u can live in america and still love ur indian hertiage. im 16th indian and i love to hear about my culture. i jsut read up on it and stuff.
