Standard short haired tabbly but really skinny. The cat is tan with white stripes and the shelter had her labeled as "Ginger". I could just go with this but my wife keeps trying to come up with a name.

I have proposed every name that I could think of from mythology, TV, movies, lions, tigers, etc. Even a cute name would be cool as she has mentioned cheese and honey both things that are tan or orange.

Give me any silly idea that comes to mind!

Way to go on adopting a shelter kitty and saving a life whatever name you give her she will always love you for doing this amazing thing for her and giving her her a loving home.

i like to %. names that persons do no longer think of of for a cat. I even have had cats named Booger, Barker, stitch, dogs, And suitable now I actually have a silver tiger cat named Spot. So what ever you think of of be rather innovative

I had a standard short haired tabby with a pink nose and white belly and legs and paws. I couldn't think of a name, either. She was called "kitty" and lived for 22 years.

You might go with "Twiggy"...but she may gain weight!
When I found my ginger-striped tabby, I considered these names: Ginger, Scarlett, Rusty, etc. etc. but I ended up naming her Chili Pepper (which evolved to Pepper Ann.) Most of the time we call her "Muffy le Mew"; I have no idea why!
BTW....ginger-striped females cats are unusual. According to my vet, 75% of ginger cats are male, so you might like to call her "Treasure" :)

Keep Ginger
It's a cute name and the cat is probably already familiar with that name anyway.

Frida must like Kingdom Hearts...

I like people names for pets. My cat's name is Sally. I think Patty, Kim, or Natasha would be cute.
