oh my gosh...same here...i used to have hair as straight as a pin when i was a kid up until i was 12....then it got all coarse and thick! which is good now but i dont know....theres nothing really you can do about it...straightening products dont work well..esp ones that promise a long time...i would suggest trying out leave in conditioners like thermasilk....also some coconut oil and olive oil...and just try stuff and see what works...dont ask anyone else..just find it by yourself cause u know what ure own hair is like.

If you have been using the same shampoo and conditioner for some time...consider switching to a good quality set for awhile. Also, get a deep conditioner which you use every few weeks or so...this may very well be just a matter of your hair reacting to the products currently being used.
I had my hair go so frizzy for a while that it was horrid...as soon as I changed my shampoo and conditioner it was absolutely fine. Now, I change every few months...no more frizzies ... and I am old enough that I could have courser hair I guess, but don't ;0
Good luck

Hi, This is for dry hair, dandruff, psoriasis, itchy scalp, really thick, curly African hair, etc
Try this remedy: mix together, in this order:
1 part lecithin (from the health food store, in the baking section)
1 part shea butter,
2 or 3 parts castor oil
3 or 4 parts grape seed oil
if you have really bad itching or irritation add 5 - 20 drops of teatree oil
warm it up till the shea butter melts.
add twice as much aloe vera gel as the total amount of oil. For example if you end up with a half cup of oil, stir in a cup of aloe gel. Mix or shake upntil blended and creamy.
apply to hair and/or skin as needed. Hope this helps.

Start putting in a leave in conditioner like something from the Nexxus line. They're about 15-20 for a bottle and they make your hair extr soft. Or Paul Mitchel products. Chi is definitely good too. Just start washing your hair. Put in a leave in conditioner every night before you go to bed and wrap it in a silk hair net or something like that. It should make your hair softer.

could be build up... could be u arent leaving your conditioner on long enough. if its not on for at least 10 mintues then its virtually pointless. also, try to rinse with luke warm to cold water... it closes the folicles so it actually works. oooorrr... it could be just your body changing. i had stick straight hair smooth until the day i had my son.... since that day my hair has been curly and coarse. and theres nothing i can do about it.

It sounds nasty but works great. Take a whole egg and mix it with mustard oil but it on 2 hours before you take a bath. Lather and rinse 3 times and it leaves hair shiny and silky.

Have you had any stress lately?
I know what you are saying, here are reasons:
1) stress reasons they can fall. you loose vitamins in your body, take some multivitamins
2) you are getting older, and hair changes with age too
3) depends on weather change, food change, diet change
Kelp is good - but ask doctor first it can have other side effects.

based on the avatars it looks like everyone agreeing or answering the question is a brunette. Is this not a common problem for blondes???
