The best way is to stick with The Book... you need to know The Book... do not try to answer directly from The Book though... atheists will not accept any thing from The Book... Just state your own faith and understanding... offer the witness of your life as your testimony... if they will not accept your testimony and witness then just walk away from the fight... they are not interested in any thing from any book..most especially from The Book...
If they have questions you feel you can not answer and you can not get help from any one else... feel free to email me and I 'll give it a shot.

Yes, there are, but you must be very careful. NOt all are accurate. Your best bet, is the Bible. The Bible says to say and do all we do in love, or dont do it. We are to let the Holy Spirit lead us to who to talk to and who not. WE are to live the truth, be obedient to God, to JESUS, and to tell the world about Him. Unless a faith has the teachings Of Jesus Christ, God says it is false and to flee from it SO to wittness, we must know what God says about how to live, think, act. We are to strive to be like Jesus, to hunger for Him, thirst for Him, and love Him enough to Obey Him. Many today say no grace covers it all . no. Grace is why we can be saved, the gift is free. But, to hold on to the gift of salvation, one must be obedient To God. Its thruought the Bible if you begin to truly study precept upon precept, scripture upon scripture. Its all just there. And, we are to look for opportunites to wittness. Its beautiful. Some will accept, some will reject, as they did to Jesus directly while He walked upon this earth. BUt, that is not to be our concern. We are to live truth, speak truth in love, but be bold. No time to tiptoe about the gospel. But, to remember always to do it in love, explaining we arent preaching at them cuz we are so holy and rightous. But, that God loves us all too much to lieave us in this sin sick condition He finds us in. So, that is the message we tell, and that Jesus is coming soon, and we need to be ready when He comes. being Holy, obedient ppl leading lives of rightouesness, and being glad to do so. Showing others what Jesus has done for us and can do for them. If we cant show how He changed us, what do we have to offer to them?
Any good books out there on this topic contain this same teaching. But, God forces noone , nor are we to even try. Its not our place. WE are to tell truth and live it, and then leave it alone, and just pray for them. Its the job of the Holy Spirit to do the conficting. BUt, these ppl will watch you and see how you handle things. do you try to force, do you get angry, do you no longer love them? ALl of it, you will be watched and most look for a reason to say AHA< SHE IS NO BETTER THAN I AM, so its an execuse to not accept your teachings.
Do it in love, but be very BOLD. Present it, and leave it there for God to work on them with, and go on living for the Lord. But, dont tolerate their sin in trying to help them. God calls us to seperate from the world, but doesnt mean we must stop praying for them. oh no. God wants us praying for the lost, but not hanging out with them as best buds. Press on. let us know how you do.
