Watching Smalville lately, and the strange direction the plot seems to be going has left me about as confused as LOST.
There is something about Lanas baby that Lex is obviously willing to kill to keep secret.
Then for some reason I remembered back when Clark had lost His Powers and was shot by Chloe's friend who was launching the Missiles.
Clarks Doctor retrieved a blood sample from Clark during His stay in the Hospital.
Here's my theory, you may already know where I'm going with this, but I propose that Lana does not carry a Luthor.....But a Kent.

Soccer- Ah, but maybe Lex doesn't know Clarks blood is powerless. He's always had suspicions about Clark since He became a hood ornament while Lex went over the bridge.

Sam-It's not definitive whether Clarks powers were merely supressed by Jor-El or if Clark actually became Human temporarily on a genetic level.

A friend of mine reminded me the other night that once Clark cut Himself with a piece of Kryptonite and bled into a jar for the man from Edge City who Lionel was working with.
Therefore there are actually two samples of Kal-Els DNA out there. One with Power, one without.

That is a great theory. I never thought about that. The only thing I have to wounder about is wasn't Clark "Human" when he lost his powers. I thought that was what happened, but maybe his blood was still alien. You are now making me think about what is really going on here with the baby.

I am totally on the same possible page. Every time there is info about the baby it is referred to as Lana's baby or her baby. NOT THEIR BABY. I think it is a definite possibility, though, not by any means the only possibility.
