I AM O+ AND I HAVE DONATED TO RED CROSS & BLOOD ASSURANCE. PEOPLE DO NOT SEEK O+ BLOOD LIKE THEY DO O- BECAUSE O+ IS THE MOST COMMON & O- IS THE UNIVERSAL BLOOD MEANING ANYONE CAN RECEIVE IT, NO MATTER WHAT BLOOD TYPE!A FRIEND OF MINE IS O- AND THEY ACTUALLY CALL HER ON THE PHONE AND BEG HER TO COME IN AND GIVE BLOOD!

You can donate blood to any A or B or O type but you can only received type O.

if you are O+ you can only donate to O+ people. However if you were O- you can donate to anyone b/c that blood type will mix w/ anyone, but you can only receive O-.
