it used to be that way...of course it should be 18...you are old enough to drive..old enough to vote...and old enough to get drafted...you want a cold "1"...that's fine ...but keep the laws intact to prevent the idiocy that comes with the drinking and driving

this is more of a suvey question. I'm 22 and i think it should be changed to 18. if an 18 year old can enlist in the military and die for this country, i think they should be aloud to drink alcohol. the con of course is the accidents and stuff, which i think the driving age should be moved up to 18. a minor shouldnt be behind the wheel, but at 18 i think you know better whether to drink and drive. so if they changed the driving age and drinking age to 18, then kids would be getting smashed at 15 instead of 18, and by the time they're 18 they'll have had enough problems with the law that they'll no bettter.

I think they need to change the law to what the European's have. Drinking legal at 16 but you can't get your license until you are 21!!! Teach all these kids who want to drink young what it is all about and get it out of their systems by the time they can drive legally on the road.

It is already 18 or lower in most of the world.

What is it about so many self-centered Americans in this category that they ask Questions as if only they are out here? Look at the flags at the bottom of the screen, you Yankee asses!

American teens are considered by the government and their parents thats why we end up seeming dumb compared to other ppl. In germany its 18, so when I was there a couple of months back I went to bars and ordered without any questions asked.

Yes, they should. In some states, it's legal to drink at 18.

There are pros and cons to this, but a good question. The obvious con is that there will be more alcohol-related automobile deaths.
