If her fur is still shiny and silky then dont worry. We had some really cold days and nights over the winter, my cats fur got extremely thick before the winter, and the thicker it is the more it will cast. so your cat knows that warming weather is coming very soon.

On the other hand if her fur is dull, feels gritty, and looks like she has white flakes, the oils in her fur could be a little out of balance, the best thing for this is an oat bath. You warm up some dry porridge oats until it is luke warm, then rub handfuls over all her fur, but it has to be against the fur not in the direction it lays, then give her a good groom, and that should do it.

If she is scratching alot, or the above does not work, take her to the vet to be on the safe side.

I think your cat is perfectly normal; I have cats that shed in the same way you describe, especially this time of year.
Since you have a "moggie", I'm going to assume you're British. This is what works well for me; I'm sure they're available where you live too. (I purchased mine at a local pet supply store.) I bought a special shedding comb, with a circular metal serrated blade on a handle. (It's similar to what one would use to groom a horse.) Use this on your kitty two to three times a week, and you won't believe all the dead hair it removes (and the reduction of all the cat hair in your household!)

There's nothing you can really do to stop her shedding. Some cats just shed more than others. Make sure her foods are high in essential fatty acids (fish oil is a good source for cats), and keep any eye out for any bald areas (I know you said there are none at the moment....but they can always appear after awhile of shedding).

If she seems in good health, and doesn't develop any bald areas, I'd just invest in a good vacuum cleaner with grood attachments to keep yuour house as clean as possible.

This doesn't sound normal to me - and I've had several cats of different types and breeds. I think a trip to the vet (or at least a groomer) is in order, if you want to get to the bottom of the problem.

Cats are nocturnal animals..their prey (mice and different rodents) come out at evening. that's thoroughly regularly occurring. My cats living room round all day, and bypass nuts chasing one yet another at evening. do not problem

my dad's dog is like that. he vacuums him once a week with the dust buster to get most of the hair off.

You will if your house is very warm. But get her checked out just incase.
