I know of one case in a woman who was rendered sterile from the high fever she experienced when she had rheumatic fever as a child. It would seem possible for a male if the fever was high and/or prolonged. Treatment may have also played a role, hard to say with so little information.

High fever and some types of medication reactions can definitely cause sterility in both sexes
