Watching someone else win is boring. Watching Tiger win is like watching a master artisan at work.

Yes and no...
It is fun to see competition in any sport. That's what makes it a sport. When Tiger can steamroll any golfer on tour, it takes the fun out of watching the event. It's almost like you TiVo the Superbowl, only to have someone tell you the score. That's not fun.
However, Tiger is on pace to shatter every golf record. The creativity and shot making ability he has is unparalleled. Some of the shots he makes are great to watch. That weird chip in at the Masters was incredible. His walk-in putt at the US Open was such an amazing putt. How many golfers point their shot in? His game is still great to watch.

No what is boring is the fact that there isnt a golfer out there who doesnt crap his pants and fold the tent when Tiger puts his name on the leaderdoard. Tiger shoots an ordinary fourth round and no one challenges him. Thier game blows up and they shoot over par. There is no rival. That is what is boring. Cant blame him for taking what he is being given. It sucks and is boring. The only guys who have challenged him are no names like Bob May and Rich Beem and they were too inexperienced to know any better.

I don't care for golf. Whether Tiger Woods wins or loses has no effect on me. But... I like to play league team pool... and as a team player I like to win every match I play for my team. Other teams may not like it but my team does. If you were a baseball pitcher wouldn't you want to win every game you pitched? Or a batter and get a hit every time?
Tiger Woods will run his course and then another super-star will emerge.. and the cycle will start over again.

yes! I liked him for a while but I can't stand him. I have seen him in like people magazine like 8 times, professional golfers aren't supposed to be in gossip magazines... how about golf magazines? and people are like oh my god its tiger woods or tiger woods won im so excited... and im like, when isn't he on tv, when isn't he taking the spotlight. I am sure he is a nice guy but let some of the other guys when some stuff... its not very much fun for them when tiger is winning everything. the people that like tiger are selfish (just like him) and like to be in the spotlight.

Boring that he wins everything? Maybe a little, but those of us that aspire to get better at this game marvel at his skill. When you see his name as an entry, you know that he will probably be in contention if not win the tournament. But just to watch the way he plays leaves me in awe.

Was watching the Chicago Bulls dominate for several years boring or the New England Patriots. Was Jack Nicklaus boring? If Phil was winning everything would you find it boring?

Lets count our blessings, we are in an era that can witness the best golfer of all time. Golf, unlike other sports, is an individual accomplisment. Noone hits the ball for him. He's a master at the sport. Watch and learn!

No, because he is only human and doesn't always win.
Winning is not always guaranteed with any sport. Just ask the Duke Basketball team about getting upset in the first round yesterday.

Absolutely not. People love to criticize him and try to knock him down, but whats really happening is historical. I didn't have Arnie in his prime, or even Jack, but I have Tiger to watch. He'll be the guy my grandchildren will be wishing they had been around to see. Lighten up and enjoy his career while it lasts.
