That is kind of strange. If I was your friend, I would just ignore him. He is obviously obsessed with her, but if they have never met, why should he be? He sounds like a nutcase to me. Your friend should stay away from him, avoid chatting with him and if he keeps trying to look up information about her or follow her around, she should report him.

He seems a bit keen doesn't he? Not necessarily a nutter but not exactly experienced with the opposite sex either.... Maybe he's really desperate to get into a relationship. Having said that she needs to be aware of possibilities if he is a nutter. If he does anything wrong at all then the police need to be contacted.

What would I do??
First of all I wouldn't ever meet someone over the net. I think she needs to keep her distance from this guy. If he keeps coming around she needs to contact the police for help.

Online sites to me are like online stalkers.
Some people on the sites looking for a mate are crazy, and down right retarted.
So to me I wouldn't recommend anybody going on online sites.
And if I was her I wouldn't even went on that website

This guy sounds obsessed! Tell your friend to steer clear of him - he hasn't even gone out with her and he's stalking her. Maybe she can just tell him that he's put her off because he is just too intense. No point trying to avoid him without explaining why, cos otherwise he might stalk her even more.

I think she possibly gave him too much information... I'd be worried to! Prehaps she should contact the police about him.. Not sure if they could do anything, but she needs to do something... Sorry I can't be of more help xx

This guy is weird and sounds like he would be very possessive of her. I think she should change her mail address. Hope she didn't tell him her home address or phone number.
I don't like the sound of this at all.
