Take for example Islam, the Koran mentions of Jesus, his mother and many characters of the old testament of the Jews. JW, Mormons, Moonies and many others also claim what their following is also originated from Jesus. In fact, if there is no such thing like Jesus, his birth, his teaching and works of miracles, his death, his resurrection and his ascension. I think the world will end up with religions, like Hindu, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, native beliefs,... But surprising to say, there is a claim that even Buddha has made mentioned of a holy man like Jesus that will be born and killed exactly like Jesus. We have to be careful indeed not to look to other religions for Jesus' and Gods truth but look to Jesus himself.

And yes, he said many people would come in his name pretending to be his teaching false Gospels. We are warned many times to guard our truth and our doctrine carefully!

Every person should begin praying in faith for God's assistance and direction in this matter.

(1 John 5:15) We know we are to have the things asked since we have asked them of him.

Secondly, the person should not hesitate to read the bible immediately. Even if a printed copy is unavailable, the entire text is freely available on the internet:

Thirdly, the person should not hesitate to share even his limited understanding of "good news" with friends, neighbors, relatives, etc.

(Mark 13:10) the good news has to be preached first

Fourthly, the questioner can get true worshippers to come to him in his home and together they can read and study the bible!

(Matthew 18:20) For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.

The important thing is to insist that any discussion or meeting use the bible as the only authority. Too many churches elevate human tradition and philosophy of men over God's Word the Holy Bible. Condider also whether the church has an organized program whereby all its adherents preach publicly as Jesus commanded.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Unlike the saying that one bad apple will spoil the whole bushel, a little bit of truth does not make an entire religion's beliefs true.

They may all mention Jesus, but they do not accept that He is the resurrected Son of God or that He is the only way to God and salvation.

the romans and greeks actually worshipped the SAME gods but gave them different names.

the jews and muslims only mention jesus, they don't believe in his divinity. The rest are all offshoots of catholisism.

The only religions that actually seperately mention the same exact dieties and thier funcitons are the roman and greek gods.

Guess what- better break out your sword and gun and start making sacrifices to Mars/Ares.

Really.... last I looked, it was only Christianity, Judaism, and Islam that did that. Everyone else believes something else.

And those other religions (most of them) are much older than the Abrahamic religions.

It is not ironic, really.

It matters not how many deny, twist or pretend. In the end, "every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord!"

Every means every!

Satan takes portions of the truth and twist it. It's his way.
sad.
Jesus didn't come here to be a good teacher, or get married and have kids. He came for one reason alone, to die on the cross for our sins.,
