You are right, Jesus DID pray to the Almighty God of Abraham because Jesus was a Jew.
Orthodox Jews pray in a way similar to Muslims with memorized prayers and bowing from the waist.
Christians do not generally pray at a set time during the day (except to pray before eating). Christians pray in the NAME of Jesus, the prayer is addressed to the Almighty God of Abraham (Father God). Christians generally do not recite memorized prayers but pray in a conversational fashion whatever is on their mind and hearts (not memorized) except for reciting the prayer that Jesus taught:
Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.
Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Mat 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Mat 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
The Christian prayer may have praise, thanksgiving, blessing and supplication.

Christians pray to the same God that Jesus and the Jews and all of God's people pray to.. Jesus is a part of the wholeness of God and he prayed to his Father in heaven who is a part of the wholeness of God and is the same God all believers in the true God pray to and have always prayed to.. there is only one God and he is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I do pray to the same God to Whom Jesus prayed - my prayers start out "Dear Father God". I pray in Jesus name because through Him I can come to the Father. I believe in the Trinity, and that Jesus is God in the form of the Son. I talk to Jesus all the time, through the Holy Spirit. I commune with the Holy Spirit - all three separate persons, one God.

Jesus said that no-one can come to the Father except by ME. We pray TO God the Father through God the Son.

I more often than not DO pray to our one and only Heavenly Father whom Jesus prayed to. We all should, but we shouldn't deny Jesus or the Holy spirit either. It's a triune God so we must worship all three.

Any prayer I offer is started in the same manner,
Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
They are also closed in the same manner.
In the name that is above all names Yeshua ha mesciah, Jesus the Messiah.

You got a point. It is very difficult for most Christians to be told to pray to God as their father. You see God does not want to be prayed to as their great great grandfather. Jesus was very clear to tell his disciples to pray to our father in heaven. In fact, those who believe in Jesus has the right to become the children of God the father. But on the contrary, most Christians pray to God and treat him as their King, or just God, and will rebuke the believers who pray to him like their father. They will accuse them for being irrespectful to God. If they pray to him like Jesus does, things will be different. So we must pray to father in heaven, in Jesus name and ask for anything according to God 's will. So please tell these Christians who are not praying like Jesus to pray to God as their heavenly father. As a son, what you cannot ask him to do? Unless your earthly father has been so unreasonable or unkind to you. However, you heavenly father loves you more than your earthly father. So this is the very great different. So pray to him without any fear of showing him irrespect and demanding, we are his children. Nevertheless, be reasonable children and don't you know how you could make your earthly father angry with things you have done. So don't pray for those.

We all pray to God the father, in Jesus' name. We pray to Him with the acknowledgment that His son has saved us.

You must be Muslim. I read Muslims are taught that Christians don't pray. This is false. Christians are taught to read the bible and pray without ceasing!
