Yes most of them are very intelligent. Unfortunately they are blinded to the Truth. It is a form of willful ignorance.

Actually, Atheist are USUALLY very smart people. There are those that aren't(like any religion) who give Atheist a bad rap, but most of them are generally good people and work hard and they love hard which is why they have so many problems believing in God....because they see all the pain in the world and they can't "rationalize" it with anything they've known or can read about or can fix.

I am an atheist, and I would consider myself to be pretty intelligent.
Your religion does not affect your intelligence. If anybody tells you otherwise they are wrong. There is nothing different between two people just because they have different religions. That is only 1 aspect of life
Oh, there are three R.S. Teachers at my school (Religious studies), one of which is an Atheist, and the other is a Theist. Both very strong in their beliefs.

I know quite a few Atheist and all have been well spoken, intelligent and fiercely defend their opinion's/beliefs. What I find so erroneous is how badly they are treated by the "Christians" in this section. If I recall the saying about judgment. 'Judge not lest ye be judged yourself' Aren't you do the very thing you are taught not to do?
Saying that they will burn in hell oh the shame you bring to your own religion.

The state of a person's belief has never attested to their intelligence. I have found Many Intelligent Atheists on this site. I have also found a number of rather intelligent Deists also. It is wonderful to be able to discuss matters with all of them involved, don't you agree? Have a great weekend!

Some are, just like some religious/spiritual people are, but they aren't completely smart, in at least on field (faith).

Sometimes they are smarter, but they would rather save themselfs (their life) than die for something like God. And they dont know some thing that those who belive.... know.
