does the consumption of beer (irrespective of the quantity) really cause someone to have a beer belly or become fat!??! i've checked around on the internet and there's no conclusive proof as far as i know... what do you guys feel?

It's the calories in the beer that make you gain weight. It doesn't really give you a beer belly, as you stated. When you gain weight from whatever you eat or drink will go to the belly first if you don't exercise. Beer belly is just a saying.

Beer is very fattening, even light beers.

One beer a day (or less) has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties and, in women, can even delay the onset of menopause.

Drink red wine - it's good for your heart.

Yes. It has a lot of calories. When I graduated college and stopped partying and drinking as much I dropped like 10 pounds so fast.

No Beer is not having too much of fats to make you grow large, but if eat too much after having beer that makes you fat..................

YEAH!
a family member used to drink alot and by ALOT i mean ALOT.
but now that she has her bf and stuff she stop drinking and damn! she lost ALOT of weight just by not drinking any more beer.
