Generally, a dog will not drink creosote voluntarily. It has a repellent smell and they instinctively know it's bad. However, your dog may be "Special" so keep creosote and the dog as far away as possible from each other.

Am I answering a question from the UK ? because if I am where did you get the creosote from ? It is totally illegal in this country now and if you found with it you are going to court, no danger. No it wouldnt drink it would you? you silly fuc**r. It was banned here years ago because of the damage it did to animals and humans. Are you sure you have got creosote and not just wood preserver which is soluble in water. If I were you I would check it now, because honestly it is illegal. If your dog drank it he would be dead by now anyway.

Dogs will drink most things but I think creosotes smell is much too pungent, no I can't see it unless the dog's derranged of course.

A dog should never be allowed in that position to find out. If it didn't die it would make it quite ill.

Dogs tend to drink/eat most things.
Such items should be stopred where any animals cannot reach or in containers they cannot get into

but a dogs nose should warn it off the foul smelling substance

Dogs drink antifreeze which can kill them, so obviously they're clueless about what is good or bad for them.

Its eyes will start watering before it gets near the damn stuff, mine do! Put the lid on it, then its not a problem....
