Well, first of all, you can believe what you want. I'm happy with that. Secondly, why would I try to convince you that something you believe, that obviously gives you comfort, quite possibly even strength and dignity (as Faiths, Spiritualities, and Religions do) is a bad thing?
As for being open to rational discussion or thought, I'll assume you're referring to your belief. No matter how irrational I might think your beliefs are, if you hold them to be true, for you, then I have no argument. I can voice my opinion until I'm blue in the face and it will make not an ounce of difference. Because faith has as much to do with rationality as Keynesian Economics has to do with love. It's a question of Apples and Oranges. Faith is as much of the heart, as it is of the mind. Rationality and emotion don't mix.
That's only my opinion, of course.
