I asked this before, but no one of the 18 answerers understood the question. I would like to know what creationists think about biologists' belief in the theory of evolution.

Why, in your mind, do the vast majority of biologists believe evolution is the best explanation for the different species we have today?

I know evolution is only a theory.
I know that many creationists are fundamentalist Christians.
I know that not all creationists are fundamentalist Christians.
I know that not all fundamentalist Christians are creationists.

I don't want to read "Creationists are stupid".
I don't want to read "Christians are stupid".
I don't want to read "Evolution is wrong".
I don't want to read verses from Genesis.
I don't want to read about the tiny minority of biologists who are also creationists.

I just want to know - to what do you attribute the fact that most (not all) zoologists, botanists and other biologists are firm believers in the theory of evolution?

First, I appreciate your list of "I don't want" s. You did away with a lot of useless answers right there.
I think that the best people to answer your question, of course, would be those biologists who believe in evolution. But that isn't really what you want. You want to know what our reaction to that is.
First, as you say, it is "most". In the past, sometimes the "most" have been correct, and sometimes the "most" have been mistaken. Theories change, no matter how convincing they seem to be or no matter how "proved" they seem to be.
I imagine that the majority of biologists believe in evolution for some of the following reasons:
1) For some, it is the only reasonable alternative to believing in a personal God who created us.
2) For others, it was basically all they were taught all through school, and so when they examined the evidence, their minds were already made up. They never really seriously questioned it. I think that you will admit that today, it is not "scientifically correct" (in a parallel sense to "politically correct") to question evolution.
3) For others, they have weighed the evidence as fairly as they can on both sides, and have come to the evolution conclusion.
As I say, that last doesn't make them necessarily right. It just makes them honest.

That is absolutely false, there are many Christian Biologists, I happen to know one. It's just that the theory of Evolution is so widely accepted as our roots and standard in America (and elsewhere) that all you hear about are the vocal Evolutionists.
They don't teach Creation in public schools anymore, [they], whoever they are; the "Big Brother" perhaps are phasing out Christianity more and more as the years pass. The basic knowledge of Creation is not even an option for learning for the average public-schooled child. It's okay, the Bible fortold this-- It doesn't shock me.

Since when do we run science on consensus? I seem to remember something about PROOF.

The obvious answer is the schools. From day 1 in high school biology we are taught that we are products of evolution and nothing more. When we get to college, those ideas are reinforced by professors that are nothing more than liberal acitivists trying to spread atheism, communism, and naturalistic philosophy. The students hear a constant atheistic drumbeat and made to feel inferior if they dont drop their belief in God. So they are either forced to compartmentalize their faith, or abandon it altogether. Some rarities make it through.

Faith is something to be nurtured and encouraged, not trampled upon. Also there will be many naturalists (atheists) joining the field of science because of their natural worship-like love for nature itself. Because when you think about it, nature to the atheist created them and is sustaining them. If anything is God, it is nature to them.

So in short, the infiltration of academia, pride, and the natural kind of person that gravitates toward science to begin with.

Nice question. I used to think that they just didn't think about this. But now, based on the answers, there is a significant amount of people who are actually anti-science. Good job exposing me to a very scary population. I had no idea that these people were actually this much against knowledge.

My opinion on why they believe in evolution is that they want to believe in something tangable, they want to be able to touch it. Although you cant really touch evolution in the physical sense, they want science to back it. They don't want faith they want science.

My personal opinion on evolution is (I know you didn't ask I just thought you would want to know what side I am on) is that it is false. there is no half monkey half man. they look for a missing link but there is none. God created the world

Because it's part of their field(s) of study and they need to agree.
But who knows what they truly believe spiritually.
There are Christian (and other) scientists.
There are Christians that believe in evolution also.

Because it makes more sence to believe that things evolved, then to think that somone magically brought everything to life all of a sudden.

Hey, atheist here making a few corrections:
"biologists' belief in the theory of evolution."
- It's not a belief.

"I know evolution is only a theory."
- It is a scientific theory and fact.

I used to be a creationist and have come to this conclusion.
Because they have enough scientific proof to back up their theories in their minds.
