i have heard that there isn't many viruses for mac so do you think that it would be a good idea to put limewire on my mac? If not what other software allows you to d/l music for free? PLEASE HELP!

You could put limewire on your mac. I have had macs for years now and never had a problem with viruses. BUT as a musician if you are downloading music FOR FREE you are infringing on copyright laws so you should be worried more about breaking the law than getting a virus. BUY music --- artists need to eat too.

I can help point you to some great Mac sites, such as Mac Daily News and stuff. Like the other poster, I had Limewire, but my whole family deleted it, and we now use iTunes Music store. Legally purchase songs for only 99c per, and play and burn 'em to CD. I even use them in Videos.
