whats the deal with everyone being against immigration when in fact everyone other then the Native Americans are decendents of illegal / legal immigrants

Oh so I guess it's ok to break the laws of the country? Not against immigration and as a Native American, I am outraged that you think it is ok to have all of the illegal immigrants in our system (KEY WORD IS ILLEGAL). Can you tell me where you live so I can come to your house and take everything you worked hard to get and put it in my house so I feel better about myself? I know that would be like stealing? but you said it's ok to commit crimes right?

The legal /illegal immigrants of today have a much different mentality then the immigrants that helped shape this country and made it strong in the beginning...

You can't have people coming here and imposing their culture and belief system without a breakdown and an increase in hatred and violence..Doesn't work that way!

The early immigrants were more contributors to our American culture which was a melting pot of integrity and hard working class citizens which helped shape this nation into the strong tower that it should stay...Nobody classified themselves as hispanic/americans or german /americans etc.They were simply Americans, sure some had their own ideas ,traditions and practices but the diversity of the cultures were harmonized ..They had like mindedness..

American citizens had to start somewhere but with time and laws things changed only to come back and bite us in the ***! You and I can't go to any other country and receive what the immigrants of today do here.. It's time for reform before the country implodes!

If you want to get down to it the natives should have stayed and ruled ..Looking at today maybe this would be a better place?I love my country but I do believe we need to get back to the principals we once lived by and reform our immigration laws before things get really out of hand..It's too bad it took us so long to figure this out!

Other civilizations that allowed the same thing happen ended up lost and gone forever!

Actually, the Native Americans aren't native either. They came across the Bearing Straight during the end of the last ice age. I don't hate immigrants, I hate illegal immigrants. Why. They will stack and pack a one family house with 15 ppl all pulling together to pay the bills, which makes it easy for them, but hard for me because they raise housing prices and I am not willing to live with an additional 12 ppl in my home. This the USA not Mexico, Korea, or anywhere else. We do things our way and not yours. That is why we have the most powerful everything in the world and you and yours are falling farther and farther behind.

I agree.
All these people are but-hurt because they think illegals are taking their "tax" money, when in reality WHITES are the largest group on welfare!
In addition, they might be threatened by them taking their McDonald's employment!
I see no real reason for hating anybody except for ignorant racists!
If you all are so concerned about people that break the LAWS, mabye we should ship everyone who has ever been arrested to some other country! Talk about a double-standard.
The truth is...none of these answers for hating illegal immigrants makes sense because they have no real data to back up their points. Why must I be among the few who is not gullible?

I'm not against immigration.
Just illegal immigration

I'm currently taking environmental studies classes and the way I see it, illegal immigration is just like nature. In an ecosystem, there are a certain number of bugs, birds, and carnivores. If there is a sudden population growth in the number of carnivores, then the birds might become extinct. If they become extinct, then there is an overpopulation is bugs, which can lead to damaging trees.

If there are too many unknown people in a country, we face the risks of population control, decline in resources, and economy. It is also not very safe to have strangers living among us. Its not about immigration, its about the ILLEGAL immigration. Its just the facts.

Maybe you've heard of the land bridge between Russia and Alaska that so many of the so called Native Americans came across on. It's not about immigration anyway- - It's about ILLEGAL immigration. When are you people going to get it?

I'm NOT against immigration. My family all came legally. I am against the people who break the law, sneak into America, while good, honest, decent people who are willing to do it the RIGHT way sit on waiting lists for months and years. We're letting law breakers in and keeping the law abiding out.

Anyone who wants to come the RIGHT way is free to do so, and I welcome them. All races. All nationalities. All religions.

EDIT: And, just an fyi - my great grandmother was born in the US, and was a citizen. Then she married my great grandfather, who was an immigrant. She lost her citizenship (that was the law at the time - she was the female), and had to apply to be re-instated as a citizen. So in her case, she was a legal citizen, TWICE!

To my opinion everything done legally is good but if a government won't help immigrants come legally people shouldn't judge them if they haven't lived what those individials have lived. Something I really hate is when somebody calls HISPANIC people MEXICANS. I'm sure asians would get mad if they are called CHINESE or Afroamericans or jamaicans AFRICANS. HISPANIC IS ONE THING AND MEXICANS ARE PEOPLE FROM MEXICO NOT ALL LATIN AMERICA. I'm amazed of the ignarant people who does that.....................

Can you produce a doctrine(or any proper document) for that time period showing that in fact the "New World" was an established civilized society? We are talking at and/or before the beginning of establishment of the 13 colonies. (No offense to indigenous natives for the time period in question. I believe you know why i ask this.).
