It's not a gay priest abusing boys, It's a mentally ill priest abusing boys. Gay people don't abuse boys, nor lesbians girls. That is an ignorant stereotype. If a priest in California molests a boy, you can bet it will be front page news in Massachusetts. Of course if a scoutmaster or basketball coach or guidance counselor or psychiatrist in California molests a boy, no-one outside of California will hear anything about it. It's business as usual, not news. Maybe page 5 of the local paper.

At least you recognize that the problem is homosexual priests, not pedophilia. A man who molests an adolescent boy is a homosexual. The secular press uses the term "pedophile" because it creates a stronger reaction among readers, plus the last thing they want to do is cast homosexuality in a negative light.

You just hear more about the priests because people have to have a reason to hate the church. They aren't jsut happy hating the church for being what it is they have to pick on the side issues. in my younger, naive days I married a man who turned out to be gay & a pedophile. A male who has sex w/ another male is gay, whether his partner is an adult or a child, the same goes for a female.
