Take a walk. It will help. Seriously.

When the baby is ready it will come out. Not really anything you can do to hurry the process. I've tried and have had friends try all the other ideas... walking, sex, and any other ideas without any success. It's all up to the baby and the doctor. The end is uncomfortable but it will be over before long. With two weeks left enjoy that time being able to rest, watch a few movies and recheck that you have everything ready for the hospital and the baby. Congratulations.

At exactly the same point--38 weeks, 4 cm--with my third child, I took castor oil and went into labor 8 hours later. I don't know if that did it, but it might have. It was disgusting, though. Research it first to see if it's right for you.

Walk and sex.

But enjoy your alone time right now. When the baby comes you're going to be awake all the time, no sex, no TV, nothing. Babies are very loud and demanding.

I was anxious to get mine out of me and 7 months later I wish I could put him back. I think I get 1-2 hrs tops of free time from him. He doesn't even sleep in his crib. He sleeps in my arms. It's very annoying never having a moment to yourself.

If I could go back to last June/July before he was born in August I'd be living up the last bit of my freedom as much as possible. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Go see a movie, go take a quiet walk, sleep, eat at a resteraunt, quick!

i'm 39 weeks with my 2d and taking area in the waiting sport as well. regrettably i don't believe of there are any ordinary solutions. we've all heard about sex, nipple stimulation, walking, going up and down stairs, castor oil (it extremely is fairly risky for the newborn so do not attempt it) and so on. With my first I had a dance social gathering in my the front room and that extra on labour. If none of that works i imagine you in simple terms could wait. i'm fairly uncomfortable too yet this infant in simple terms isn't fairly waiting to come back out. i be conscious of this does no longer help along with your soreness, i'm sorry, yet in simple terms be conscious of that i'm with you and that i think your soreness. strong success!

I think the only suggestions I have are 'Old Wive's Tails' but you could try:
1. Walking down the street with one foot on the curb & one foor off the curb
2. Massaging your nipples
3. Having sex

Walk. Walk, walk, walk.

Also, relax. I know you want to have this baby, but that baby is going to come soon enough. Relax, take a bath, and take in the contractions.

my hospital keeps you at 3cm depending on contractions, so depending on if your contracting or not just go to the hospital, i currently 30 weeks prego with twins and the longer you keep them cooking the better, so just let nature take its course..and look at it this way one more night or so of sleep!!!!!
