Should we? No.
Do we? Unfortunately.

I know that I myself am quite an expert on sin. I commit them every day. In fact, I'd be pretty certain that I'm one of the foremost experts on sinning that I've ever met.

Whether I am qualified to accuse someone of sin has to do with my knowledge of what sin is. If I know what sin is, then yes, I am qualified to accuse someone else of sinning.

The question that needs to be asked I think is whether a human being is qualified to define sin for themselves. I would have to give a resounding "No" to that question. We would not know sin if it was not for the Law. But because I know the Law, and still commit things against it, I am most definitely sinning with intent.

I am going to give a good chunk of the Bible to go with this, I'll just reference it and you can read it for yourself.
Romans 7:1-8:11

It deals specifically with this issue. Happy reading!

Well from all the examples that guy used in raping yourelf its seems like he might have some personal experience. As humans it is our responsibility to make our brothers and sisters aware of their sin. It says in the bible that we should gently instruct one another away from sin. I do believe that we should reprimand one another when we sin, but never in a condemning way. We should build one another up in love while at the same time making one another aware of the sins we have committed. But you must always remember to not accuse someone of sin, but simply show them the sin and let them come away from it one their own. It is not our place to judge one another. Judgement is only God's.

Is committing a murder sin? .. the Ten Commandments states it is.. and thus, mankind is held accountable, and judged in courts by the laws of man, and God for a Crime against humanity, and God who judges all later..
Some may not be caught doing their thing, that is against God or man.. ( justice delayed, is not justice denied. ) No man can break the laws of God, and not break too the laws of man.. Man's laws are the lesser laws.
We need to impart carefully though our judgments. Not all is as it seems at times.. (many have been accused and sentenced, and served who were innocent) We need too to be merciful having judgements. They are partners . If we can not judge sin, then how could we not know too when we have sinned? and , know the boundaries we have gone over.
a conscience too is our partner. It is always easier to judge another than ourself.. yet, in so pass judgment on ourselves. A curse comes upon sins erroneous? (ACCUSE). . perhaps something to think upon.. "judge not that yea not be judged", does not mean not to judge, just warns us, that which we judge the same shall be met.. Some though have no thought to judge, or excuse misbehaviors as not concerning... the so-called politically correct attitude is often one of public forum, not of higher authority.. I'll take mine higher. Man's views and laws can be manipulated, but the laws of God remain the same. We are not only qualified to accuse, (judge). we are to seek to know that which is ungodly. That we may refrain from it. Not "Know" in the doing sense. One does not need to wallow with the pigs to know you get dirty doing so.. look at the heartache of others lives who are touched by the sins of others choices. The consequences are not ours to chose necessarily, but the sin is.. We choose indeed..

Very delightful question, goes hand in hand with a nice little convo I had this morning. I'm atheist, but played out the concept that "let's pretend" I believe there IS an omnipotent creator being, then such a being would have to be altruistic and knowledgeable about things beyond human comprehension.

NOW... this creator being has such a knowledge that humans would have to WORK towards (and some say you can never really achieve such knowledge) but many haven't... and yet they judge, with their tiny little concepts of what THEY think is "good" vs. "evil" also based on concepts of what their creator being said was hundreds, to thousands of years ago in cultures that have since evolved scientifically and so on...

So... WHO is REALLY fit to pass judgement? In order to do so, in a way that is acceptable, is it not logical that you'd have to possess at least a fraction of the wisdom, altruism and knowledge that your alleged creator being has? Could this be why Jesus shook his head at his apostles (according to the Catholic-built version of the Bible)... rushing to judgement all the time w/o understanding?

Just a fun thought...

Yes. We are told what is sin and what is not. If I see someone murder another person, and I can confidently point to that person and say, "you just sinned." If someone lies to me and I catch them in that lie, I can confidently tell them that lying is wrong.

NOW - that is FAR different from judgment. What does a judge in a courtroom do? He determines the punishment for said sin, once the jury has found the person guilty. We as Christians are not called to be judges. God determines punishment, not us.

That is what Jesus meant when He told the men "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." He was saying, okay guys, you caught her in a sin. Now which one of you is perfect enough to punish her for that sin? Not one of you, so leave it to ME (Jesus).

Jesus said that we are all sinners and asked us to judge not. So we are not alowed to judge..The justice should be different.
Some may have killed other..but other have killed without killing the body...and nobody said it was a murder because nobody saw blood..and a dead person..

When Jesus came, a whore used to be stoned to death..It results those who sleep around or cheat also deserve death..
and Jesus said ''The one who never sin should be the first to throw the stone into that woman''.It results all of them deserved being stoned to death..although their sin wasn't obvious in the people 's eyes
, but their sins were known by God..

So the judgement should be different of what it is nowadays...should be a punishment but acctually should be a moral education that seems to lack..to those who sin..( kill, steal etc..)Cheating is no longer considered a sin, although they can go to hell if they die without being sorry...while a killer could go in heaven if he is sorry....I think that the people's judgement is not fair..is primitive...Unfortunately..they don't want to learn Bible, they don't want to ..do this and this..they want themselves to punish the killer , they don't let God to do it..so who knows when one of their sons shall go to jail....and even when it happens.... they might think so is right..that their son go to jail...But I think that there will be an improvement in justice ..when some shall understand that man is not of steel , is not a God..if he were of steel he would have never suffered and if he were a God would have never got out of control and kill..as satan temptates...

With the concept of "sinful" behavior being as subjective as it is, no one has the right to deem something a "sin".

No, no, no and no again. I always ask people who try to do that if they really want that kind of responsibility on their hands and if they would like someone to accuse them. They either shut up or go away...either is fine with me.

Humans judge other humans all the time. If not on "sin", on potential criminal activity.

I'm not sure. I know I sin everyday. I guess we just have to ask God that when we get to heaven.
