People, I can forgive someone for wronging me without any type of restitution. Are you going to tell me that God cannot?

Tim, many punishments for different types of sins included things like Lashes or paying money. Not everything was death.

God cannot look upon sin. The blood of the pure lamb can cover our sins. So that all our sins were and can be forgiven, the lamb of God, Jesus had to come forth and give his life, it is the only way we can and could be totally forgiven, if we choose to be forgiven. We have to accept Jesus Christ as the son of God and ask him for forgiveness. When Jesus was on the cross, all of the worlds sins came upon him and that is why he had to die. But because he is the son of God, he rose from the grave and lives today.

If we had never sinned we could be with our father in heaven without the blood.... but we were tempted...and we did not stay pure.

All sin...intentional and not can be forgiven if you truely want to be forgiven. John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that who ever believes in him shall not persish but have ever lasting life.
It is a gift that you have to accept.

I pray that God will guide you... and he will if you wish to be guided. You just have to ask.
Good Luck
and God Be With You

Back then people gave sacrifices for their sins and Jesus was the final sacrifice, that is why now we dont have to sacrifice anything we can just ask for forgiveness and it is done. all sins are intentional because we have the choice to do them or not. God gave us freewill.

Jesus didn't need to die for our sins, he chose to die for our sins out of love for our salvation. The sin that humanity committed was so ginormous no individual human or even the whole of humanity together could be forgiven. Seeing humanity lost and without direction, Jesus volunteered himself to his heavenly Father to be offered up as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus didn't have to do anything, but as Christianity holds as Jesus is God (the second person of the Trinity) he loved us so much he will do anything to bring us back again to the fold, even to die for us.

If God is so almighty and great and wonderful then why did he have to...

1) Be born
2) Then kill his ownself by dying on the cross
3) Then Go back to heaven?
Which he didn't because they found Jesus tomb with his remains inside...(I thought he rose up to heaven and when Mary came back he was gone?)
Why would God do all of that over 2000 years ago, how come he hasn't opened up the heavens and said anything?
How come for 2000 years no one has seen or heard from him?

Christ was the sacrifice for intentional sin. He was and is the sacrifice for all bad deeds thought and done. God is not in any way petty. I believe that God used sacrifices as a reminder to the sinners what exactly they were losing everytime they decided to sin. The whole point of sending Himself as a human was to show that He loved us beyond anything else. (Just like any decent parent would sacrifice their life for one of their children's, God did that with Himself, His son and to Himself all at the same time!!!) If that is not love than there is not such thing as love to me.

All have sinned.
The wages of sin is death.
Without blood there is no remission.
We, in sin, could not redeem ourselves.
Christ, being sinless, took on our sins and paid our price.

(see last verse) He came to fulfill the law - not skate around it just because He could. He didn't have to but He did.

Scripture:

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin [is] death
Romans 6:23

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Hebrews 9:22

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
Matthew 5:17

He died for I sins because Jesus is the only one that can save us from ours sins. No other persons blood is that powerful than that of his. He can't just forgive us without death beacause once sin (death) entered the world someone had to save us which is JESUS!!!

No... God is not so petty that he needs blood.
God did not NEED to send his only son to die, but he chose to. Jesus chose to die for you and me and for our sins. He chose to die for our sins so that we would not die ETERNALLY for the sins we commit. He came to be our SAVIOR, so that he could save us... The way I understand it is that God deserves justice for being wronged, just like we would take someone to trial who has wronged us. But God knows that we are human, and we will sin and He does not want us all to burn in Hell forever, so He sent Jesus to die in our place.. and as long as we believe that He is our Savior, and we ask forgiveness for the sins that we commit, and truly, in our heart wish to not do again what we did wrong, then Jesus has paid the price of our sin to God already by dying on the cross. I hope that helps and keeps studying the Word of God. The New International Study Bible addresses some questions like these, and it is written in clear English. :)

The Bible says that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." every single person on this earth (except Christ) has sinned. the Bible also says that "the wages of sin is death..." because we sin, the consequence of doing so is death. However, simple death cannot pay for the sin we have committed. So, Jesus Christ, the PERFECT sacrifice died in your place so you don't have to. If you died, you would spend and eternity paying for your sins in Hell. But Christ died to provide you a way to avoid hell. "But God commendeth (showed) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

The penalty for ANY sin is death.

The only way to be free from this death sentence, is get someone else to take your place.

That substitute mus not be guilty of any sins.

The only person who never sinned (and therefore our only substitute) is Jesus.

To ask Jesus to forgive us is not enough!
We must mean it!!

If we sin intentionally, then God will not be quick to forgive your sins, until you properly repent of your sins.

It took Jonah 3 days in the fishes belly before he came to the place of proper repentance for intentionally sinning.
