1/4 c hot water
8 boulillon cubes
1 pack active dry yeast
1 t sugar
1 1/2 c tomato juice
2 c all purpose flour
2 c wheat germ
1 1/2 c whole wheat flour

large bowl. rolling pin. cutting board dusted w/flour
spatula. and cllkie sheet

pre-heat oven to 300 degrees.

1. pour hot water into large bown. add sugar and yeast let stand for 5 min.
add bouilon cubes. crush them up with a fork as you stir them in

2. add tomato jucie, 1 cup of ap flour and the wheat germ. stir with a large spoon to form a smooth batter. stir in the remaining flours ( the dough will be dry and stiff) you will probably have to use your hands to finish mixing it.

3. sprinkle flour on cutting board/table.
use a couple of hand fulls of the dough roll it into a ball and flatten out to about a 1/4" thick with rolling pin. add more flour if it is too sticky.

4. use a knife or a 'people' cookie cutter to make shapes. repeat until all of the dough is gone. using only a couple of hand fulls at a time

5. use a spatula to move your buscuits onto the cookie sheet.
bake at 300 for about 1 hour.
let them cool off in the turned-off oven for about 4 hours. just to make sure all the liquid is dry.

6. serve with a bowl of water....

dogs love carrots.... i know its not quite what ur looking for, but its quick and easy if u really need a treat.. and my puppy will do anything for certain veggies... like, she loves avacado... just be careful because some thinks, like soy, can harm a dog...
