if you find out she is not, please spay her immediately. the humane society can direct you somewhere cheap or even free to do this.

Really depends how far along she is, If she looks like she swallowed a cantaloupe then her time is near, The extra affection she is showing is a sign that she may deliver in a day or two.
Normal gestation period for a cat is between 60 and 64 days. So of she was pregnant when you got her get ready for some kittens.

People...PLEASE. She FOUND the cat, OK? She was probably already pregnant.
She could be gaining weight just because she's being well fed now. I've never had a cat become preggers, but since she was a stray, it's best to take her to the vet for a checkup and shots anyways; your vet can tell you if she's expecting.
If she's not, please ask the vet to shave her tummy and look for a scar indicating that she's already been spayed. If not, PLEASE have this done; she'll be a much better pet for you besides not furthering the rampant pet overpopulation.

take her to the vets don't poke and prod her tummy as you could cause a miscarriage. my breeding cat becomes very affectionate about 4 to 5 weeks before she is due. your queen's tummy will be swollen and quite hard her nipples (teats) will also get bigger she will eat smaller amounts and more often if she is pregnant. but it could be that she is getting a more nutritious diet.

You can check to see if her stomach is hard and round, also check her nipples to see if they are getting larger.

It is that time of year again, if she is pregnant expect kitties by April.
