An additional insured (on a personal auto policy) would be a co-owner of the vehicle. That endorsement to the policy costs nothing. An additional insured can be a person or a leasing company. If it is a leasing company they will require you to keep at least $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident and $50,000 property damage liability. If you have less than that, it will cost you to increase your coverage but not to add the additional insured/leasing company. If the additional insured is a person and a driver of the vehicle, it MAY cost you to add them as a driver, depending on their age, driving record, etc. Again, adding a person as an additional insured only, costs nothing.

It doesn't cost anything to add an additional insured to an auto policy.

If you add an additional driver it may cost something but not an additional insured.

That all depends on the driving record of this person, where they live, type of car, etc. You would be better off calling your insurance company to get this type of info. Good luck.

Driving record and Age will drastically affect the rate. If they are over 25 and have no accidents or violations, adding them could actually lower your current premium.

Sorry, can't even give you an estimate. Depends on age, gender, driving record, etc.
