Yahoo doesn't believe in freedom of speech. Shi Tao was jailed in China for 10 years for what he said on the internet, and Rights Groups have accused Yahoo of helping China trace Shi Tao's e-mail exchanges with a New York-based news Web site.
Yahoo allows any numbskull to censor items here by posting an objection.

It's quite odd, really, that a consumer organisation chooses to ignore the wishes of its consumers. A business which cannot adapt to demand soon finds it doesn't really have a problem anymore, as all demand is gone.
That said, I'm not quite fnarged off enough to walk yet, but I'm getting there and I have a sneaking suspicion I'm not the only one.
And I STILL haven't had a response on why I couldn't use the word "niggards" in a question!

There is no such thing as freedom of speech on yahoo answers. There are guidelines that we're all supposed to follow. However, what is happening is that many people are sending violations when it's not a violation. They are childish in my opinion.

Freedom of speech does not mean the use of any gross; coarse, crude, vulgar; disgusting and/or offensive language.
Besides, good education has nothing to do with sense of humor, If you can control your language and express yourself normally well, I'm sure you won't find any problems of freedom of speech.

they are ranting in basic terms such as you're. the government extremely isn't the single limiting loose speech in the context you defined (they do it now and returned in different components in spite of the shown fact that). in the tip, it extremely is you it is limiting your speech--government regulations so some distance as race are in touch are notably minor--i think of you ought to (perhaps) get charged with verbal attack for dropping the n bomb. What makes you sense this way is the media and the message being sent by black leaders. you may think of approximately this message as being the closest to sorting out what black people choose which you would be waiting to determine (when you consider that i do no longer assume you to be acquaintances). Political correctness is in basic terms regulations for manners--so as which you do no longer by twist of destiny say some thing insulting. in case you prefer to be insulting on purpose, by all skill communicate your concepts.

Freedom of speech doesn't apply everywhere.
yahoo is a privately owned company. They can set any rules they wish.
Freedom of speech under the Constitution:
CONGRESS shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech

Freedom of speech has limits. Yahoo reserves the right to edit content. A violation of freedom of speech would be if they tried to arrest you or lynch you.

Well, for some people: "You have the right to remain silent. If you give up your right to remain silent you will receive a violation and have the offending answer/question removed"
Do you understand your rights as I have read them to you?
