I am coming from the Antelope Valley (North East of Venice) and would like the easiest directions to the beach front walk at Venice. I know I need to take the 405 but what exit would be easiest? I do NOT want to exit Venice Blvd cuz anyone who lives near there knows how horrible that exit is....anyone have any info that might help me??

The Antelope Valley IS North East of Venice, and I am very glad you find amusement in that. I live here, I think I would know......

Well, then take 405 to 10 to PCH in Santa Monica. There are a ton of ways to get there..

BTW I have never heard of Antelope Valley being described as "north east of Venice"...just thought that was kind of amusing..
Have Fun you will like it...

Here's another take on your trip; I would consider using the Metrolink train from Lancaster to LA union station and then taking the MTA # 333 Venice limited bus or #33 Venice local directly to Venice Beach from there. Your Metrolink train ticket is even valid for a free round trip ride on the bus from the station to the beach!

well you could take transit instead of driving
and its easy you just have get your self to any Metrolink
station (Lancaster, Santa Clarita. Newhall
and take Metrolink to Los Angeles, then board a metro line
33 direct to venice and your metrolink ticket is valid fare payment on the line 33

if you were driving you could try to take Washington
(technically its the same off ramp as Venice, instead of making a right on Sawetelle (which is the street you will be turning on to) you make a left to Washington then right on Washington
I live near that area

405 freeway to Washington and Venice Blvd. Get off and follow Washington Blvd all ther way to the end.
